Hello Everyone,
About to give birth any day to our 3rd child. We were with Dr Vazino at El Rio in Tucson, she has now moved out of state. I haven't been able to find another doctor who fits our needs. I personally do not like El Rio the facilities are dirty and its run rather poorly. We were with them because of Dr Vazino.
Dr Vazino was a great doctor and understood that we did not wish to vaccinate our children. She did not fully vaccinate her own child, only for certain vaccines because he was in day care.
I have been through many doctors over the years who have given me hell for not vaccinating. I would walk out almost in tears because they would call me a bad mother and putting my child at risk etc. My children are not in daycare so they do not get sick. I am also a person who was almost killed back in the 80's from the whopping cough vaccine. I have not taken on no vaccine stand lightly, I have done much research over the years and feel confident in my decision.
What we need is a doctor who understands my stand and does not bully us when seeing them. They respect my decision on how I bring up my children and can be their primary care doctor. I understand that they will let us know amount the newest vac's etc but to constantly hound me and say i'm a bad mother will not work.
Do any of you have a doctor who respects your decision? I would be interested in some recommendations for the Tucson area. I am also considering weather or not to circumcised so if anyone has any recommendations on the procedure and the risks. This is our first son.
By the way i'm having a natural birth in water at the birthing center of Tucson. This will be the second birth there.
