PJ's and underwear?

So, my usual PJ bottoms really hurt me now- they are starting to get very snug. Is there such as thing as maternity PJ bottoms? And are they worth it? I have been thinking about just getting some night gowns, but I hate the feeling of my legs rubbing together at night.....

Same with underwear. It getting really tight. Maternity panties the solution??

By the way- is it bad for the baby to wear tight pants on your belly? I feel like the nights I have worn my PJ bottoms, I woke because I had cramps.... Are those from the tightness of them across the tummy?

It's not a good idea to wear anything tight on your belly. I have heard it can be bad. I don't remember why. I just sized up my underwear and would buy a larger pair of drawstring pjs from a department store. Yes, they make maternity underwear and pajama bottoms, but they can be a bit expensive.

Old Navy has maternity pj pants for $10 currently.

The night cramps are probably from dehydration. I get them too when I don't drink enough. You might also wake up very hot and uncomfortable if you are dehydrated. I am going to keep lemon water with a bit of salt by my bedside now.

I have never heard anything about tightness on your belly causing problems for the baby; if anything it is just plain uncomfortable to have elastic cutting into your skin. Muffin tops anyone?

i had a great experience with motherhood maternity underwear. so comfortable. i just pulled mine out that i'd put away from last pregnancy. go with your normal size...if you go with them. and i am in the same department for pj's. i was just thinking last night how tight mine were getting--looks like i'll check out old navy! :)

I've never had to buy new underwear or pj pants. My underwear is low cut enough that it doesn't hit the belly really. And I wear my husbands pj pants ( they all have drawstrings) so they're big enough anyways. I just adjust them as I get bigger.
