Winter Wishes for Bajingo Mamas and Babies - Page 3

Pitch- beautiful babu and mama!!!!

Andaluza- baby boy is so cute!

Caly- Cara is georgeous, hope all the winter sickness passes and you can enjoy spring and summer- there is a East coast storm now, hopefully it will be the last!!  So sorry to hear about your milk supply issues.  You did get a great start and that is what matters!

LivingSky- Congratulations again!!  Hope you pregnancy is going well.  Augustus is also large for his age, and almost growing out of his infant car seat.  I cannot believe it.

CA Country- your girls look great- yeah with a big guy- his development is slightly behind because he has so much weight to carry around.  Have fun on your trip!!  I know so many mamas who are going to Hawaii, I think it is a great trip with kiddos- you don't go to Hawaii for the show and museums!

Boots- hope you two are feeling better!!!

Update- Augustus will turn 6 months here soon and I don't think I ever wrote down my birth story!!  I did go and speak for the prenatal yoga class and that was cool.  He is 95 in length and 75 in weight.  We have not had any BF issues, and we started solids a little early. He loves bananas and apple sauce.  Once he is 6 months I will start proteins and veggies.  I will smash mostly the things we are eating, and really want to encourage him to feed himself.  I love feeding him.  He is mister wiggles these days.  My mamas group here started talking about supplements to start at 6 months- my pedi did not address this yet-

What do you all think about:  fluoride drops? Vit D drops? Iron? and Omega 3-

I am into the omega 3 and found a omega - D baby one I will try but FLUORIDE???  and Iron, ugh I dunno?

Do you all recommend a baby potty, I just want to get one so he becomes familiar with it.

Hope you all are enjoying the spring love!!!

Sparrows- Augustus is so cute.  We do Vitamin D, though I am a bit irregular about it.  It's just a drop of citrus oil stuff.  Ped (a naturopath) had us start at 2 months.  I also mix a baby acidophilus powder into some food pretty regularly.

2SS - So Cute!

I wouldn't touch fluoride with a 50' pole for a babe, even for older kids. Overuse in kids can actually weaken and destroy the enamel on their teeth, and most cities and towns already add fluoride to the water.

We declined to start iron or vit d for Kayden - we get a lot of sun here even when it is freezing cold so I wasn't worried about vit d, and iron supplements are next so hard for the body to absorb that it seemed like a waste. I have just now started giving Kayden Juice Plus+ kids chewables as he isn't always the best for eating a variety of fruits and veggies (he eats veggies well but seems to stick to a few favorites, not enough variety). Other than that, I'm skipping all the supplements.

How's everyone doing?

Hey guys!  I missed you all.  I don't have a computer right now because my laptop crashed last Nov so all I have had for internet is my phone and kindle, hard to use forums.   It is so nice to look at all the baby pics!

Thanks birdie Lee!  I am so excited to be pregnant. It seems that the forums on TTC and pregnancy have been getting less and less traffic.  I am so excited to be pregnant!  Like boots said, this is definitely a much anticipated BFP.  I have been really tired and my mouth tastes like I am sucking on metal, but other than that I am doing pretty well.  I can't wait to be a mom!

tank and lilac, big congrats!!! joy.gif

CA Country Girl, thanks for asking. smile.gif DS was born by c-section on 4/3 after 48 hours of labor bigeyes.gif and he's wonderful! He was 9lb9oz and 22.5in. DD has been adjusting pretty well, I think, and I'm slowly getting more energy and strength back. Here's a pic! smile.gif

Aww congrats Tear, how cute!

And congrats tank!

Lilac, do post here and keep us updated, I guess the Bajingo fire couldn't burn forever through ttc, pregnant, and babe boards. But hopefully some of the ladies on the TTC board will be getting BFPs soon.

Tomorrow is our first big travel with 9 month old Lyle. He's teething pretty hard, but generally loves attention and being around people so we're hoping he'll make it okay for the 3.5 hour flight. Also he's a late sleeper and I scheduled it around when he's usually sleeping, so fingers crossed. I'm nervous but more nervous for the return flight when I won't have huz with me. He has his own seat in both cases and we're bringing his bucket seat which he's pretty close to outgrowing.

Love all the pics, Andaluza M is soooo adorable, I love his cheeks!

I'm having a little nursing pain and the teeth aren't even through yet. Ugh! I have been lucky and not had very sore nipples this whole time, I think that's about to change. Thankfully when we get back from our trip we'll have our 9 month well visit with our awesome LC/pediatrician.

Here's a recent-ish pic of Lyle in the pool...Never before seen on FB, mostly because my friend is in the background in her bathing suit and I wouldn't want that to happen to me! ;)

Missing you guys, hard to believe we've got second siblings arriving for Bajingo babies!

I'm not sure what my future holds. I'm officially resigning from my teaching job I've been on leave from this year.

Boots, glad to hear you have come to a decision! Now I need to make mine.

I am having twins! Yep found out yesterday. Two little hearts pumping away and I am humbled to be their place to grow until Dec 19,2013, or earlier if the doctor is right about them coming early. I have a friend who went to 40weeks 1day with her twins before doctors made her induce. She was huge!

now for the decision, just got a call fbr an interview to teach in Memphis Tenn. Interview is tomorrow. Not sure what I will do.
