Talysen was born at 2:45 this morning, on 12/13. Lightening fast labor - some mild contractions from 8-11:15. Then my water broke (all over the bathroom floor lol); he was born 3.5 hours later! He was also posterior, which really hurt. He is nursing really well, has had a couple of alert times, and his brothers are all in love. My 3 boys were all there when he was born, my 13 year old burst into tears & said 'I love you mom - it makes me so happy to see you so happy.' There was not a dry eye left in the room after that!

7lbs 6 oz, 21 inches.

Since you had contractions for so long, how did you know you were finally "in labor" (besides the water breaking)?

Congratulations!! He's beautiful, and what a sweet and happy story.  :-)  It's so encouraging to hear for those of us on the other side of this -- you did it! (Thanks for sharing, it's especially encouraging to know it can go so smoothly with a long lead-up.... I've having been having irregular contractions for days now, trying not to get discouraged!  Thanks for the beautiful news!!)
