We haven't talked about names in a while...

Just thought I'd start a thread to give us a specific place to talk about names and such. (I don't think we have one anywhere else, do we?) So, anybody want to share what they're considering? Do you have a name picked out for sure yet?

ok, guess I'll start.

Eleanor is our pick.  possible nicknames already: Nora and Ellie

We have picked Grayson Blaine.

We just call him baby Gray, though. :)

I love Eleanor! We're going with Beatrice Helen (Helen after my grandmother). Unless the babe comes out looking not like a Bea at all!

Love everyone's names smile.gif we aren't sharing IRL til she's born but ill share here smile.gif her name will be Mira Klaire (Mira because she is such a MIRAcle, and Klaire with a K in honor of my mom who passed 18 months ago, whose name was Kathy) she's already adapted the nickname "Mimi" smile.gif

Ours is Virginia Marie and her nickname will be Ginny.

You've all chosen lovely names! We are waiting until after the holidays to really think about names. For now, he's L.B. "Elbie"? We don't have any names that we're leaning towards yet, but it'll be nice at family functions to not have to discuss names. Our families can be rather...pushy, and we want to decide ourselves what our son's name will be :-)

We need help! We have lots of girl names we like, front runners are Avaya and Senna. But we think it's a boy and are having a lot of trouble...like quite a few but none seem "just right". So here is the list, let me know what you think...Sagan (after Carl Sagan), Espen, Odin, Nile, Atlas (too presumptuous?), Lachlan (my fave but DH not too keen). DD's name is Soleil, so I don't really like the idea of using another S name. Middle name will probably be Hunter (my maiden name) or Sagan. So let me know what you think! Or suggest any other names that you think fit our style. Thanks

we have our names :)

Gage Daniel ( daniel is my brothers name)

August Michael ( Michael is DP brother name)

Finn Edward ( Edward is my grandpa and uncles)

Boy names were very easy for us.. and since we are having 3 baby boys... Im kinda glad :)

My little girl wil be:

Emmerson MaKenzie Lane

Brooklynn MaKenzie Lane

Harlow MaKenzie Lane

Aubree MaKenzie Lane.

Don't know which one yet though. I want to narrow it down to two names and then let my daughter pick "THE" name. I figure that way she will feel involved and special.

I have absolutely *no* idea what we're naming this baby. When I try to talk to DF about it, he says he doesn't know, either. I jokingly said we're going to name this baby Baby, because while I feel connected to him/her, I don't have a feeling either way, on gender, and so don't have a concrete name picked out. DF still says girl, but none of the girl names I suggest he likes.

I like the name Ainsley for a girl, but DF doesn't particularly care for it. So I don't know yet. :P

Eleanor was our top girl pick. But obviously we won't be using that now. Lol

Obviously, it's not set in stone until it's on the birth certificate, but we've chosen Theodore Keith. Keith is my grandfather's name. Theo and Teddy are both already in use as nick names.

We are having opposite issues from some posters...I had great boy names picked out (the kids and I had decided on Tennyson for a first name), but now that we are having a girl, I am at a loss.  The only name my DH and I agree on is Helen...and now I am not so sure that's the right name for her.

Our middle names were going to be Florian (patron saint of firefighters) and Fidelis (all of my kids have a virtue as one middle name)...but we are rethinking those, as well.  (Florian is a male patron saint, lol).

I like Florian and Fidelis. My husband's half-brother is Florian.

We have decided to name our baby boy Reiner Isadore. Reiner, because my hubby liked it,and Isadore was my grandfather's name. We were going to use Isadora if we had a girl. We might still, someday!

Our youngest daughter was "this close" to being Mira instead of Meridith!

We've *never* had a boy name that we've agreed on, or even really liked lol. So so-far it's been good that we've had all girls! So... now I'm really greatful that we've got a couple of months to figure it out! We have a rule that we don't use names on the top 100 list (but we might make an exception for names in the 90's lol) and we prefer "real" names and also have a preference for older English names.

I LOVE hearing what everyone else is doing though!

We are pretty set on Maebelle Rose for our girl.

Sounds a little girly for what we turn out but I love the name.

Ok, here's our short list (which I usually don't share lol) and we're still very open to suggestions. Some of our rules are: can't be in the top 100 list for the last year or two. Not a made up name. We prefer English/Eruopean names but that isn't a deal breaker. Preferably not starting with B, R or M since those are our girls first initials, but again, not a deal breaker. Our last name starts with a long "I" sound and is two syllables.

Malcolm

Beckett

Soren

Scott

Simon

Griffin

Opinions and other suggestions welcome!

Oh fun! I haven't shared these names with anyone IRL either, except my mom and the kids. DH & I are still very much undecided. My favorite seems to change week to week LOL Middle names haven't even been discussed really. Our kids names are Henry, Lincoln & Morgan.

Dodge

Briar

Orson

Everett

Emmett

Louis

Owen

Rory

Weston

Wyatt

These were on the main list but have been bumped to a secondary list:

Wayne

Issac

Sayer

Easton

Oliver

Wow a lot of great names, some I hadn't even thought of.  I was thinking Jacob Daniel for my little guy.  Daniel is my husband's middle name and he seemed to want to pass it on.  I also thought about Jacob Grant though because the Grant name is one from my family.  My older brother has it as his middle name but said I could be the one to pass it on if I wanted.  If it had been a girl I was going to name her Molly Elizabeth.  I've always loved the name Molly.  My names are probably kind of boring compared to some of yours but I like more traditional names I guess.
