Eh...I've got a hospital and a doctor because my husband is terrified of the idea of a home birth. We met with the only midwife around with the last baby, but he just couldnt' get over the idea of not having a doctor around. My plan is to deliver in the same small hospital I was in the last time. Everything went pretty well mostly because I was a first time mom and they thought I'd be in labor forever (I didn't tell them exactly when my water broke, or they wouldn't have left me alone for so long, I'm sure) so they left the two of us alone until just before I started pushing. It definitely wasn't my vision of "natural", but it was drug free and probably as intervention free as one can expect in a hospital around here. I'm hoping to be slightly more in control this time, but the biggest lesson I learned was not to worry about it so much. In my experience with this doctor and her staff, very few patients are informed enough to even refuse some of the prenatal testing, so I'm a complete anomoly with them. They don't quite know what to do with me, so things have gone pretty well.
FYI, I live in the Pee Dee which I'm pretty sure is the least crunchy of all the regions of the state, so it's nice to find some more Southerners here on Mothering. I've been poring over the site for years now.
