recurring rash with CPFs

I've been using unbleached CPFs with DS (now 6 mo.), and disposables at night. No problems with first size. Sometime after we switched to the next size up, he developed a rash on the area just above his penis, and then later his inner thighs. Around the same time we were traveling a lot and using disposables so I actually thought it might be the disposables. Went back to cloth and rash got worse and worse. Doctor treated with an antifungal, then hydrocortisone, then stronger hydrocortisone. Each time it got better with the meds and came back when we stopped. Finally I read some threads on here about fungus staying in the diaper, so I washed everything in bleach, even though doc says it looks like a contact rash rather than a fungal one.  Then we were travelling a lot and switched to a new brand of disposables and the rash completely went away.  Went back to cloth and it started coming back. Back to sposies. Yesterday I tried cloth again and after one day I notice little spots like it's coming back.

Any ideas? I'd hate to have to give up cloth altogether.

We had a rash like that that was a staph infection. Went underground in disposables, but popped back up in cloth, but was not in the cloth.

Prescription topical abx for him, bleach for the diapers and all was well.

The stay dry of the disposables is likely what helps, so try adding fleece liners (you can make them, just cut some fleece up)

Thanks! I will run that buy the doc and see what she says, and try to make some liners.
