ugh. dry, itchy skin driving me crazy. Anyone else?

I'm slathering myself in olive oil and plantain/calendula ointment. It's on my upper back...it's dry, alligatory skin that will calm down and then flare up in the shower or if I let it get too dry. It doesn't act like PUPPS or any bizarre liver condition, and I can't even find comparable pics on the web.  So far nothing on my belly (other than the typical stretchy itch.)  But of course I am a paranoid wreck about it.

anyone else?

No, but I've been using Woods baby mild castile soap on my body and only showering every other day.  I still get itchy spots once in awhile but that routine seems to keep it in check.

I hope you get rid of those itchies soon; if not, hopefully right after baby comes!

Mine is itchy, too.  No weird spots, just constantly dry and itchy.  I think from the stretching.  Which is kind of ironic, this being my 5th pregnancy, but I think this baby is bigger than the others and I'm actually stretching further than I ever have been.

I use plain coconut oil on my skin, which helps a ton.
I find most other stuff more irritating than anything

Yes! I found a solution-I humidified the house like crazy (used distilled water with a little salt in a vaporizer I had) and it helped tremendously, my back completely cleared up in a day.  I also used cocoa butter-but not the lotion(it has alcohol in it that I think was making things worse) I got cvs brand stick cocoa butter with no alcohol in it and my skin has been tons better. Not perfect, but definitely better.

I think the thing going on with my ankles is something else. It's like I have bug bites or hives or something. And it's only on my ankles. I wear wool slippers a lot and I'm wondering if my pregnant body is just over reacting to the wool.

yeah, sounds like a wool thing going on.
