ikea USA no longer has them; you can buy pricy resales on eBay. may have german imlaws buy n ship. although, my husband doesn't think our bathroom wall is very sturdy, so now we are thinking of a hallway near bathroom changing table. Our bedrooms are carpeted, which is rather keep as far away from baby crap as possible. DH has started to show a lil interest in baby stuff after poking around on ikea's website- I guess clean Scandinavian design cheap is his cuppa tea.

I'm also thinking about sewing some sleep sacks. Some cute patchwork-y ones.

Oh, that would be cute.  Do you have any patterns?

Ooo yes, that sounds like something I could actually handle...I have so many scraps too.

I think I'm going to do this sleep sack instead: http://alifeflexible.blogspot.com/2012/02/baby-sleep-sack-pattern.html

I'm one that doesn't really like to swaddle my babies and the other patterns seem more like swaddling so I think this will be perfect for me.  I will need to find some yarn I want to do it with.  Exciting!!

Anyone have a pattern for a changing pad they like?

Gah, I've kind of forgotten all about crafting... I think it may be time for me to motivate myself by digging through all my fabric. Even though I had early plans of making things for both genders, now I'm kind of thinking of waiting until after my ultrasound.

I love all of the sleep sack ideas! I didn't have anything like that with DS, which was probably good because he hated being restricted while sleeping, but maybe this baby will be different. I'll have to put a sleep sack on my to-do list.

Supposedly March is "National Craft Month" (says one of the big box craft stores).  Maybe that will motive me.  lol.gif

I found another super cute thing I want to make:

I might have to raid my husband's closet for some of his old Medeski, Martin, and Wood shirts.  Shhh...

I made a really cute sleep sack from one of my husbands shirts. It already had the buttons down the front.

It would seem I am expecting a girl so now I get to sew tiny dresses. Looking at the geranium pattern fom made by Rae, any other ideas?

Yay!  I swear, the only reason I want a girl is so I can indulge in all the pretty patterns and colors that are available now...

Dogs would be fun. My ODD has bunnies. Yesterday she asked why it was yellow and not purple because she really likes purple more. Now to find a pattern...well, actually now to keep working on the sheep and by the time it's done we'll probably know the babies' genders anyway.

I have the Oliver + S ice cream dress pattern and sewed Bee a shirt with it on Tuesday when we were snowed on , to try it out. I see matching ones in our future.

I'm also trying to find a pattern for this bee sweater.. http://pinterest.com/pin/217791331952160013/  SO CUTE!

I love the big butt baby pants pattern. Particularly for boys with fun boy fabric.

http://www.ravelry.com/people/KnittingRed  There is my ravelry account if anyone is interested and I'll post my pics here too of my progress.  Whoever said blankets take forever, oh my goodness, so true.  I like whipping up diaper covers so much more because they are fast for me.  Hah, my thumb is still red from cooking beets in the second pic.  lol

Cathy, I love the colours, particularly the blues.

I realized I miscalculated and I have loads of fabric to do the zig zag quilt I wanted, so I started it last night. The nice part is that most of it is really easy, repetitive steps, perfect for a tired pregnant brain.
