Any Northern Kentucky mothers here??

Hello ladies,

I was directed here by the NKY coalition of home birthing liaison.

I consider myself a somewhat "crunchy" momma. We practice natural parenting. I live in NKY and most of the time feel like an outsider here. I have one other semi-crunchy friend and that's about it. It's very mainstream here so I am hoping to locate other like minded mommas to form friendships and a playgroup. I have searched high and low for a natural parenting playgroup/group of mommas near me and they are either way to far north(dayton area) or way to far south(lexington). I can find nothing in NKY.

So I decided to try to start one myself. :)

Any mommas in the area that would be interested? I hope to make some new like minded friends in my area. I know I can't be the only one. winky.gif

If you are a homebirther, you could come to one of the homebirth circle meetings (twice a month, one located in downtown Cincy). Join the yahoo list for Cincinnati Homebirth and you can get the times/locations for that month's meetings. I'm sure you would meet people who are like-minded there.

I know how you feel. Not yet a mother but am trying to live a natural life style and it is hard in this area. No friends have the same views as me. We are planning to have a baby and my mom thinks I am crazy when I talk about cloth diapers. Hard to get friends to understand how much better it is to have a healthy natural "crunchy" life style.

I am a momma-to-be living in northern kentucky. I moved here in November with my husband who grew up here. This is our first child and she is due in August. I too am a supporter of living naturally although it sure isnt easy to do! Takes a lot of preparation and attention. I ended up here while I was researching pediatricians in the nky area who are vaccine friendly, as we have decided not to vaccinate our child.
