I'm having trouble with really tight lower legs (calves and the muscle in the front/inside of my leg). It's starting to really affect the first 2 miles of my runs. I went to a massage therapist at the end of Nov right before I ran a half marathon. That helped for the half but I haven't seen lasting results from that.
Does anyone have any suggestions for stretches to do? I'm doing the 2 basic stretches that I know: one is like downward facing dog and the other is putting the sole of your foot up against a wall. I've been working on stretching my hips too because I heard that tightness in the hips can cause problems all throughout the legs and lower back. Thanks!
