Ouch! Pain after much BF success

Baby girl is almost 17onths and all of a sudden one side HURTS when she is actively sucking. Otherwise, I'm fine! I'm so confused about what's going on. Love suggestions. Repositioning doesn't seem to help.

Pretty unlikely I'm preggo. Wouldn't that make both sides irritated/hurt? This is just one side and not constant. It's a really sharp pain. Noticed it got worse at letdown. Then kind of eased up. Seems like it has to do with milk coming out. That said, DD is getting new teeth but they're molars and I figure if I was rubbing on teeth that would happen on both sides and different positioning would help, which isn't the case here.

Thought I'd update. I have a feeling we're having a latch problem, maybe because of teething. But I now have a sore on my nipple that I'm a little nervous about. It HURTS for sure. I just don't know how it can heal while she continues nursing. I sure don't want to stop though! Love to hear any experience. Thanks
