The idea to homeschool has always crossed my mind, but i never thought i would do it. however, an opportunity has just presented itself to us where homeschooling might be the best choice. but we know nothing of it, though ive heard how incredible it is. i guess i want some hard core facts for dh:) something to show him what i believe: how enriching it can be for our children etc.

The Well-Adjusted Child is a great book about the social benefits of homeschooling: http://www.amazon.com/The-Well-Adjusted-Child-Benefits-Homeschooling/dp/1600651070
I'm a big fan of Home Education Magazine. You can find back issues on their website. They've had articles about what homeschooling offers families, ways to homeschool, info on homeschooling different subjects and more. http://homeedmag.com/

How old are your kids?
Cathy Duffy's 100 top picks (or something close to that title) was very helpful to me in the beginning. It has stuff about different styles of teaching, different styles of learning, and various curricula.

I would suggest going to a homeschooling conference with your DH. They will have speakers and cirriculums and everything you will want to show your DH. They are super fun too- just leave your checkbook at home :)

I have really enjoyed the book Free Range Learning by Laura Weldon. We are also in the "research" stage.
