my son was born 24 weeks of gestation he was born at halifax hospital in daytona now he is at wolfsons childrens hospital in jacksonville fl he was 1lb 8 oz at birth born nov 20 due march 12 2013 in need of preemie clothes

Each hospital is different but my daughter wore 1 preemie outfit once so I could take a picture to show to the friend who gave us the outfit.  She was waering just a diaper and maybe a t shirt in the isolette and when skin to skin; it wasn't until she was in an open crib (about 1 month before her due date, or maybe later) that we started dressing her and by that point she was already fitting well in to newborn clothes.  But, I know each hospital is different

There are not many resources available for micro-preemie clothing. But after a friend's son came 17 weeks early and the NICU wouldn't allow him to wear clothes.... we were able to get them to allow him to wear a tiny hospital gown.

Agreed that there is very little for micropreemies but they are out there.  And they are usually made to snap on around wires and such.  I can't recall the sites, but doing a search for "NICU clothing" or "isolette clothes" should bring some up.  Mine didn't wear any clothes until he was in the step-down nursery when it was less of an issue, but he was still only 4lbs.  At that point, the preemie clothes seemed to be okay.
