Headaches, dizzy, lack of energy

This has been my ever other day normal.  One good day, the next sucks. I am  usually good until about noon, then, I feel like I could pass out. My energy is so low and I frequently get horrible headaches.

I start out the day eating a fairly heavy protein breakfast, eggs, cheese,  chicken sausage and try to have protein for lunch. I even take spirullina and bee pollen, which usually keeps me going. Then I crash around  2, but I have not time to nap. I babysit and try to just relax on the couch, but I feel like I need a good two hour nap.

I am jealous of those in the exercise thread, I barely have the energy to sweep the floors.

Anyone having symptoms like this? This is my third pregnancy and I am 39, (if my age has anything to do with it).innocent.gif

This is me too. Some days I'm up and able to get extra stuff done around the house and others it's all I can do to get the kiddos fed and animals taken care of.

I like to think of it as being a big baby growth spurt, at least that's what I've always thought the 'down' days were.

It's getting better now that I'm almost 16 weeks though, more energy days compared to the slug days orngtongue.gif

I can't even imagine extra exercise at this point. But that could be due to chasing 5 kiddos (including a 2 yr old) around the farm.

I too try to fill up on big protein in the morning which helps keep me going throughout the day, but I think I get a sleepy rush right after, sheesh.

It'll get better mama, hang in there and enjoy the holidays!hug.gif

My Celiac disease intollerances are really buggin' out right now.  Previously I could tolerate, let's say, chips that were fried in grease that fried chicken had been cooked in.  And I mean only a few chips not many.  Occasionally I could eat eggs without pain etc.  Since pregnancy I've eaten eggs (2 a day) almost daily.  Alas, my time of egg eating has ended.  Yesterday hubby made me this GREAT omlette (cheddar, provalone, feta, jalapenos, bacon, peppered ham, red onion) and I was SO sick after :( and a few days ago the chef at work made me something and it was cooked on the grill where other things (with flour) had been cooked and I was sick for HOURS with the most awful pain :(.

Some days I wake up and feel great like I can get things done and take care of my kids, other days i wake up and just want to go back to bed.  I feel like my house is a wreck and I'm not being as great a mom as I should :(

I started to feel more crummy in the 2nd trimester, I am not sure what it is about, maybe because I am not going outside as often? I used to have all these "tips" for others because they worked for me. Now the only thing I want to do is stay snuggled in bed.

I woke up, well got out of bed, yesterday at 10 and did some things around the house. By 2 o clock I couldn't stand anymore, so I took a nap from 2-5. I was good for the rest of the night. Today I have a headache and I am feeling spacey.  So I guess I just need to figure in a three hour nap daily to function.

i am 13 weeks today and weeks 5-9 were pretty icky. i felt terrible day and night, with plenty of vomitting and gagging, and with the energy level of a sloth. I could not get up and was going into work an hour late and leaving mid afternoon (thank goodness for a flexible work schedule!) i was SO envious of the excercising thread because that was WAY beyond anything i could do.

However, i have discovered that when i actually do get up and do something i feel much better. On the days i work (m-f) i wake up at 730 and go for a short (1 mile) walk with my dog and even though i have to drag myself out of bed (literally) i/ve noticed that on those days the afternoons and evenings are way more managable for me. on the weekends when i sleep until 10am and then remain in my pj's all day on the couch (ahem) i generally feel like shit and have much more puking.

i went online today and purchases two prenatal dvd workouts (one yoga, one general excercise) and am hoping that slowly adding these into my week will also help improve my energy level and the ickiness.

i find that drinking loads of water during the day and not going even an hour without snacking really helps with the headaches. i also strive for an afternoon nap but it rarely happens.
