I want to be a grad!!! But I'm not... Glad I'm not the only one having to be patient. smile.gif

I'm surprised there haven't been any yet!  Glad we didn't have anyone go too early, though.  I'm in the green zone now for my homebirth but don't think anything will happen for another couple weeks.  At least, I hope not!  (My mom will be out here in a couple weeks to help take care of my other kids after the birth since DH won't get much time off.)

Maybe the full moon will set some things into motion.  I would say I hope that this storm sets me off, but I really don't want to have to drive 30 miles to the birth clinic in this weather!  If the midwife were to come to me, it would be a different story smile.gif

My thoughts exactly...it's rough out there!

I am ready! Just waiting for baby to let me know it is time!

I keep checking, too!
I'm 38w+2 now, cleared for Homebirth and just waiting. Trying not to put too much thought into how far I am now which is hard as I near the point I went into labor with DS2 (born at 38w+5).

My SIL and a friend's wife were both due right around January 6th with me, but the friend's wife had their baby this morning (at home!) and SIL is in the hospital right now!  Last time I was pregnant I had two cousins due within 2 weeks of me, and the both had their babies early and I was pregnant for 42 weeks...so their babies were more than a month old when DD came.

I'm at 38+4 right now, so we are in the clear for our homebirth too.  I am hoping that baby will be born on Saturday (just seems like a good day eyesroll.gif) but I fully realize it could be another 3 weeks or more...and I can't really imagine having to sleep with this giant belly for that much longer, lol.

Agreed - I keep thinking that there must have been someone in our group that would have had their baby by now!  Hopefully we'll start seeing some birth stories soon!

I've ranged from a little over 38 weeks with DD2 to 41.5 weeks with DS2, so I have a wide range there.  It still looks like Christmas threw up all over my family room (and not to mention that the master bedroom is looking a little Hoarders-ish from stashing all the homeless objects/outgrown clothes/stuff for Goodwill in there) so I hope it's another couple weeks!

Can I volunteer to be the next grad? I'll promise a good long birth story and everything. This little girl seems all ready to go, even though I just hit 38 weeks. With my sn, I was fine with waiting right up until his due date, this little one I'd be fine with meeting any day now.

I can't believe only 1 baby so far! I have 3 friends due in Jan and one had her baby last night. I'm willing to fall on the later end of the curve. Still not emotionally ready but working on it now!

Since I'm not having contractions, the baby probably isn't going to arrive in the next 3 hours and 11 minutes. Looks like I'm a January mama!

Me too! I was hoping for the end of Dec because my parents have had at least one grandchild born every year since the birth of my oldest in 2003. We broke the streak yesterday, but they're getting at least two in 2013 as things stand right now orngbiggrin.gif

I was kind of hoping for a December baby too, since we had all of our Christmas decorations up and the house looked so cozy and festive :)  We took everything down yesterday though, so now it's just back to normal old life!  It will still be warm and cozy in the house, though, so we'll be okay no matter when baby comes out!

We took ours down the weekend after Christmas this year because I didn't want to deal with trying to get it all put away after baby! We are just about back to normal, have found homes for all the new things, etc.

We took all ours down over the weekend.  Well, DH took them all down.  Everything was in the family room and that's where the birth tub will go so I wanted everything cleared out!
