He was prescribed anti depressants but doesn't take them. I want to give him some natural supplements/herbs to help regulate his mood swings and anger issues...any ideas? Our marriage/family are on the line..

My DH isn't bipolar but he has Major Depressive Disorder, Anxiety and Addiction issues. He won't take psych drugs and the supplements from the chiropractor didn't help. The chiropractic adjustments helped some (but they are $$$ and we can't afford them right now). Talk therapy with a psychologist helped our marriage but we can no longer afford it either and things are back in the toilet again.
I don't really have any suggestions I just wanted you to know that you are not alone.

He shouldn't be on a antidepressant without a mood stabilizer, anyway. It can push people with bipolar into suicidal depression. So if that's all he was prescribed, he needs a new doctor. I wish I could help with more natural suggestions, but unfortunately, I don't really know anything about any. :(

One can do amazing things with the right amino acids. My husband has been off his meds and healthy for 4 years. He has learned to work with the amino acids well. Start with this guy and find a good naturopath. www.curezone.com/forums/am.asp?i=59480
