LOL,There must be something about chocolate ice cream this week.

Someone at work put a big tub of dark chocolate ice cream in the common freezer with an "Eat me" note on it. If that's not a sign, I don't know what is! If it was softer and easier to scoop I would have taken 4 times as much as I did yummy.gif

Jeez, you all are making me want chocolate ice cream now ;-)

I've been crazing soda pop...Coke or Pepsi.  I am not a pop drinker!  For some reason every pregnancy I crave it once.  This pregnancy I am craving it daily (but don't give in that often.)  Why would I crave this?

I had DH get vanilla ice cream since I couldn't decide on a flavor so I could add whatever sounded good.  I made myself a neapolitan milkshake.  Mmmmm.

I could also have one of the vanilla spice latte's from starbucks twice a day if I followed my cravings.  I have an espresso machine and cardomom so I should really just make it at home.  The real issue is that I always talk myself out of the whipped cream when I am at the store and I am mostly in it for the whipped cream.

chocolate ... yum! it must be all the magnesium in cocoa powder :)

(to say nothing of the sugar, heh.)

xoxo!

yeah, my naturo doc told me I would crave chocolate less if I was taking a mag. supplement.  I still want it everyday but when I am taking my supps I can stop after a small piece most of the time and feel satisfied.

ooo interesting.. i was wondering if it mite be calcium.. ive been getting a lot of muscley cramps aswell.. wll go see if i can dig out my magnesium supplements i think i have some somewhere!!

TImes, not enough calcium and potassium can cause muscle cramps too.

hehe, i use the magnesium factor to justify my daily consumption ... 99% though, so I figure it's good for me :) ... and at the very least it doesn't raise my blood sugar! :)

Mmmmm, whipped cream!  I buy it all the time now.  I justify it because it's handy to have on hand for cooking (a little in a dish like a pan gravy goes a long way!) and then I can use it in my coffee and not have to buy 2 kinds of cream  Sheepish.gif  To make it more dangerous, I got one of those nitrogen whip cream dispensers as a Christmas gift.  My MIL has one and I've been coveting it, partly so I can make coconut milk whip cream for DS (that's how I'm justifying it at least!).  I don't even have to use beaters anymore!!!  And Co, I am with you.  The Whip Cream IS the best part!!!

I was terribel this weekend.  I did some major carb loading.  I am good during the week when I pack my lunches (always a piece of fruit and usually a salad included) but on the weekends my willpower seems to weaken substantially...Yesterday, toast for breakfast, a croque monsieur at the farmers market for lunch (with some greens on the side), and lasagna for supper, and some corn chips with sour cream in the evening.  At least I put zucchini and egg plant in the lasagna, and did have raspberries for a snack but not the kind of diet for building a baby!  lol.

You know, frozen whipped cream is almost kinda like ice cream and has a heck of a lot fewer calories than regular ice cream, especially if you get the low fat versions.  <the more you know>

I am currently sitting here eating leftover chinese.  Bad preggo!  Bad preggo!  Then I wonder why my bump feels huge and is taking my thighs with it.  Water retention much?

HUGE grapefruit cravings here! Just can't seem to get enough! Once my daily Brewer Diet is satisfied, the bag of grapefruits better hide :-) Ate 3 yesterday but could easily have been 4! And they must have sea salt on top smile.gif

(or maybe it's the snow?!) anyway i bought some magnesium and zinc supplements today on sale for both me n bf (he's getting tonnes of muscle spasms/cramps) so fingers crossed I won't double my weight with chocolate this trimester now!! Tehe to you lady's with he whipped cream.. I dot do dairy (unless I have a chocolate or ice cream craving -bad Steph!!) but I love love love soya cream.. Haven't tryed to whip it tho.. Been craving spaghetti for a while. When midwife mentioned it as a way to consume mucho garlic for nasty resurgence of a cold I was all over that. Oranges are sounding good too. Last week one bag of cuties wasn't enough for me and DS. This week we got two bags. Also have been downing local dairy yoghurt drink. Not feeling the frozen yogurt now but ate a tub of that last week. Well actually the plain(slightly tart) frozen Keifer that local Kroger carries sounds great.
