Well, girls, I had my amnio on Monday. The Ob said it "went as smoothly as an amnio can go," so that's good. I also got my FISH results back and they are negative (T13, 18, 21, and XY abnormalities). I have breathed a sigh of relief, as T21 and XXY were the two biggest concerns based on my NT result. But I don't think I'll be ready to go completely public with my pregnancy until the full panel comes back (hopefully next week)... Maybe not until after my 18 week ultrasound, when they will check on the heart again (they checked it at the amnio and it looked good, but I wasn't even 16 weeks, sooooo... They'll have a better view in a couple of weeks). Fortunately, I seem to buck tradition and actually show later with each subsequent pregnancy. I'm definitely at a point now where I can still hide it without too much effort. Hopefully that will hold true for another couple of weeks.

Porcelina, I know you're not logged on, but do know that I'm thinking of you.

Melly, that's great news! I'm so glad that the FISH showed such wonderful results. Crossing fingers for a perfect full amino report.

Thanks for checking, all. Yes, the full amnio panel came back clear. Now all we have left is the fetal echocardiogram in about a month and then (gasp!) we'll be back to being "regular old patients." And I'm not so worried about the fetal EKG. We already had an ultrasound with the amnio, as well as our anatomy scan and, at both, they said the heart looks fine and that they would not have recommended the fetal EKG had it not been for my NT measurement. So I'm feeling basically back to normal. But it was a LONG month to get to this point.
