Well, you know how I said those beans and greens went pretty well? As it turns out... Not so much. I've been having horrible diarrhea all day today (and let's just say it clearly was from last night's meal, if you know what I mean). Presently curled up in the fetal position on our recliner, hoping my kids keep playing well together for a little while longer...

Oh, that's no fun, mellybelly! I hope you find some relief soon!

I just got out my doppler because I couldn't resist trying to hear a heartbeat- and I heard it! joy.gif It was very fast, and sounded quite different from my slower heartbeat. I think the little one was moving because I couldn't hear it for more than 5 seconds or so.

Awww, mellybelly, hope the tummy feels better soon. hug2.gif

tcb, that is so exciting! banana.gif

Mellybelly, sorry to hear about your troubles. I definitely feel like my first trimester issues have been lower GI rather than upper GI. Boo.

Is anyone else having ridiculously horrible dreams? I keep having these dreams of death and destruction. Ie. husband blowing up in a car bomb, me being on the titanic. Weird random stuff. I feel like I should do positive, happy meditation before bed so I don't wake up in a cold sweat. Sheesh.

coffee, that's awesome! Must be so reassuring.

I don't often get to hear a heartbeat until 12+ weeks. I'm 9.5wks now and haven't yet made an appt with my MW (I'm in almost constant contact with her but we haven't gotten to that - AND my kids don't know I'm pg, so... redface.gif) so it may be that long before I see her and we try to hear. It will certainly make it feel more real!

Yeah, coffee! So exciting! How far along are you? I have my first appointment in about a week and a half and am really hoping to hear the HB then. I'll be 9.5 weeks, so just on the edge of being able to hear...
Thanks, guys! Melly, I was 9w5d yesterday when I heard it for the first time. Hoping you can hear it at your appointment!!

I was awakened early this morning by a doula client who is contracting. Really hoping that throwing up in the shower was enough and I don't get sick anymore today! My DD was awake when I got out of the shower so I've been snuggling with her (asleep again) on the couch and still haven't gotten to eat. redface.gif

Melly - hope you feel better soon! (That's kind of a weird thing to say here as we all know it may not be "better" for some time yet... but you know what I mean) :)

Coffeebean - Ah!  How awesome!  Lucky you!

AFM - Today is my second day back at work after the holiday and I am impressed that no one has said I look like hell yet.  No one knows except DH's family so I'm glad they are not noticing but all I really want to do is go home and crawl back in to bed!  I'm 6 weeks today and all I could stomach this morning was half a glass of apple juice and 4 bites of cereal.  I had to stop after that.  Yuck to everything right now and constant, although mild, nausea.

Oh Heather, you are something! I would NOT want to have clients right now, I don't think I could hack it! XP

I am feeling especially ill today and I am trying to get my Xmas decorations down. Dh is leaving next week and I'm screwed for getting the tree and boughs out of the house if I don't get it done soon :/

Quickie update! "Ginger" is doing great - totally looks like a gingerbread person! Measuring 9w4d (I'm 9w1d) and heart rate is 179. DP had the day off so she was able to come too. Super exciting and I can exhale a bit more!!

I spent the day in the er after the midwives wouldn't see me "because we haven't seen you yet". Bleeding started again this morning, and has just been picking up all day. Soaked through a pad this afternoon. I'm in a bit of a state, and the hospital was kind, but no real answers. My betas are perfect, the baby is measuring very, very slightly small for dates (off by four days, so not much) but has a great little heart beat and my cervix is closed. So, I have a baby, for now, and apparently a 50/50 chance of continuing to have a baby. Can't really tell you how sad and scared and hopeful I am. So, now I'm going to cry a bit. Again.

Argh, how scary, quantum! Did they find a cause for the bleeding? Thinking of you and hoping baby continues to grow with a good heartbeat.
Carmen- super news! I'm so excited for you!!

Quantum, that must be really scary. Sending hugs your way.  hug2.gif

Carmen, yay!  I had my first appt and ultrasound this morning too and baby is measuring right on for dates (8w4d) and had a heartbeat of 165.  So amazing to see that little heart twitching away. luxlove.gif

Banana, yeah, I obviously wasn't pg when I took on this client! redface.gif I'm really hoping I get a good rush of adrenaline that will still the nausea while I'm with her for the birth. I've thought about getting a back-up to cover for me but can't really afford to do that. redface.gif Nor do I have a specific back-up right now, so, oh well! I haven't told my client I'm pg because I haven't told almost ANYONE yet. Her early labor stopped so we'll see - probably in the next couple of days.

Quantum, so sorry!! I'm glad baby is there and looking good for now. Hoping all remains well for the little bean. fingersx.gif

Carmen, congrats! How exciting!

I was talking to my kiddos about what we might want to do this year, and almost said something about baby. I just don't know when/if it's a good time. Sigh. So I waited. At some point, I think it will be a very good, positive thing for them to be looking forward to (and they could use something positive right now). But I'm not ready for everyone on the planet to know, soo.... eyesroll.gif
post #78 of 97
Oh no, quantum! Please keep us updated. Sending good vibes.
Congrats to you, somegirl! Yep, it is definitely an amazing thing to see smile.gif

Heather, we're still not sure when to share with DD either. We may have to take her to the screening u/s at 13 weeks so maybe that will be the time.....I dunno. She's going to be excited I know that for sure!

I'm so sorry you're going through this Quantum. I'm sending lots of good thoughts to you and baby.
