What an amazing experience! I was never one for elective ultrasounds, but it ended up being such a special experience for all of our family. Even our dads were crying. It was so different from a regular ultrasound experience - shorter screen time for baby, but super cool how laid back it was, videos and photos being taken and everyone laughing, crying and hugging. We weren't able to get any good 3d shots, as baby was smushed into the placenta...but we did get amazing potty shots.
I was absolutely, positive sure based on my gut feeling that baby was a boy. I told everyone who guessed girl that they were wrong. I told the tech to find me the penis...lol...and pretty soon, I started to realize there was NO penis to be seen. That wasn't good enough for me, though - I HAD to see those three lines. We ended up getting a very positive girl shot - no doubt here with this one! We are SO shocked. I have two sons and didn't even picture having a girl. I had no idea how excited I would be to find out I'm having a daughter! Over the moon...as are the grandparents. My mother in law has three sons and four grandsons. My parents have two grandsons. First girl in a long, long time on father in law's side. My dad is calling her princess already - ha!
Anyhow, here's a pic....let me know if anyone doubts the fact that it's a girl! Part of me is still in doubt, probably simply out of shock!
