Mama's who have cloth diapered from the start

I CD, but started when DD was 6m, DS was about 2m.. we've decided to CD from the start with Callie, and was just wondering if you think my NB stash is ok? Do you think/recommend I buy more? Sounds good? I'm -hoping- to wash every other day, but washing every day isn't a huge deal, the w&d are right by my room.

I have 2 dozen prefolds in NB size, 3 Snappi's(one for home/day use, one for diaper bag, and one for night changes/spare), 4 Alva NB, NB Goodmama fitted, WAHM fitted, 6 covers(these are OS), a few infant prefolds(not sure exactly how many, the girl who is making my covers is throwing in her daughters prefolds), and 2 NB AIO's..

Personally, I'd pick up a few more snappi's - they're like pens, you'll be sitting in one spot, set it down, and *poof* it'll dissappear and be gone forever lol. I swear we had about a dozen lol.

Sounds like a good stash to me!

I'll probably try to find a few more before she gets here, I'm bad at keeping the little things in place :)!

I'm glad to mostly have the diaper situation out of the way.. now to focus on birth supplies... lol

The stash itself sounds totally adequate for an every-other-day wash schedule!

I think the stash sounds great and wouldn't change a thing unless you are expecting a bigger baby. I've always used the infant size (unless that size has changed in the last 10 years and it might have) with my newborns and they worked fine.

I know this is an older post but I have been seriously missing in action and cd is a great distraction from the other craziness I've been dealing with. winky.gif

I would add a couple of things.  I'm not familiar with the brands that you listed, but I had these awesome covers with extra snaps to create a dip for where baby's belly button is healing/before the umbilical cord stump falls off.  After that point you can unsnap the waist and they look like a regular cover.  Don't know if I'm explaining them well, but they were awesome.  (My sister currently has them, so I'm not sure of the brand, but I found them on Green Mountain dot com).  Also some flushable liners for the meconium.  That stuff is next to impossible to scrap/wash off!

Happy Diapering!

The only thing is what weight does the NB size go up to? I think its 8 lbs right? I know no one can really predict what size their babies will be, but even if you have a 7lb baby, you won't even be using the NB stash for that long. What sizes were your other babies? I have never used my NB sized pre-folds for anything except burp cloths because my kids were born over 8lbs and over 9lbs. I bought 2 NB AIO's and never used them either.

Do you have any kind of stash for a bigger baby?
