Mother Harassed At Houston, TX Hollister Clothing Store

Brittany Warfield was nursing her beautiful 7 month old daughter on a bench right outside Hollister in the Galleria. She even modestly covered herself with a jacket. The store manager came out and bullied the nursing mother by yelling at her to leave. She was humiliated and embarrassed. No mother should EVER feel that way. Breastfeeding needs to be supported and encouraged to ensure a nursing mothers success. It is also our right as women to nurse in public. So come on out, bring your baby and lets show our support for not only this mother but ALL mothers and their right to nurse their children when ever and where ever that may be. Let's make sure not one more mother ever has to feel this way again.

Here is the news story and a link to the original event. It's turned into a nationwide nurse-in and there is a list of Hollister locations by state. If you want, you can create an event for your local Hollister and post it to the original event page. Please share this with all your BF mamas. We want an official PUBLIC apology from the Houston, TX Hollister and from Corporate Hollister and a promise that they will train all of their employees on the law and to leave breastfeeding mothers alone.

Thanks for starting this Thread! I've contacted CNN, NBC, and some of my local news outlets in Chicago.

The women protesting hollister in the Concord Mall in Wilmington DE were harassed by mall security and their breastfeeding was called an "eyesore" on the malls Facebook page. Our local news picked it up, but please help to take the story national!

I know. :) I got screenshots of it and I'm working with some other women on trying to get their employees properly trained, through www.familyfriendlybusinessinitiative.com. We're also trying to coordinate another Hollister Nurse-In, since they're not apologizing or taking any steps to train their employees or make store policies regarding nursing mothers.

The mall was the worst place for me while I was breastfeeding. People would look at me like I was a freak or something. Probably because my daughter was almost 2.  I wore a cover too. It's a shame people can't mind their own business when it comes to nursing children.
