Big welcome to all of the newbies! And, lots of for everyone waiting!
Sorry about AF arriving Serenyd and Becky and Liz. Good luck next cycle. And, Becky hope that your Dr appt goes well and that the cyst is gone. I had one diagnosed on my left ovary about 1.5 years ago and started on a special anti-inflammatory diet with herbs, etc. to try to decrease or at least stop growth. I haven't had it checked since the mc but have a feeling it's still there as I occasionally have a little discomfort on my left ovary but not super painful so I try to ignore it.
Thanks to everyone who posted well wishes and belief in my BFPs. I had to get away from the computer yesterday as I became overly obsessed with everything! More centered today and trying to get caught up on all of the posts I missed!

Dahlia I'm doing ok. Still nervous. We will see what happens thanks for checking! How are you girl?
Also I agree with Katie. I'm a total vitex believer. I took it last month and had my first BFP ever even if it maybe doesn't pan out I Still know it may be doing something. As far as fertilitea I would almost rather just take the supplements included rather than choke down tea but I am picky haha! I tried preseed and have read great reviews! Can't hurt, right? definitely try the tincture if you try vitex I've heard it's a lot more potent. My only question for you before trying it- are you regular as far as AF and ovulating? If you are I would suggest maybe looking for another option because it can REALLY screw up your cycles!
jjh5351 - Thanks for the confidence! I really wanted to believe they were for real and am feeling more and more like they were. Haven't taken any others yet but plan to take another one, maybe tomorrow... I too believe in vitex, it's a powerful herb and one that should not be taken wildly, meaning unless you know what you're doing or are under someones care who knows! I read that you're having brown spotting again, where are you in your cycle?
chuord - love your posts, they are so fun and entertaining, keep 'em up! And, let us know if your research finds any evidence on a way to test early, heehee!

?? - I've tried taking the Rainbow Light Vegan prenatals and they work really well for me, energy-wise, but they give me terrible constipation. What is a great prenatal I can take while TTC?
Also, I have noticed a decline in the quantity and quality of my fertile CM over the last few years. What can do to do help this? I thought about taking a supplement like fertilaid or EPO, but then I read that these can un-regulate a regular cycle - and I'm pretty regular and don't want to mess that up. Maybe robitussin or mucinex? B vitamins? What is a good book or website I can go to find help?
Serenyd - I take Vitamin Code Raw Prenatal Multi - you take 3 per day and I've been taking them for about a year now and love them. I used to take New Chapter Prenatal (which I also loved) but since they were bought out by P&G I decided to switch. As far as the CM thing, I've posted this a couple of times when people have asked about it before, I researched this a while ago and found it interesting (haven't tried it yet myself) but here's the info:
"Drinking Robitussin before you ovulate will make you more fertile. The theory is that guaifenesin, the expectorant ingredient in Robitussin, will help thin your cervical mucus in the same way it thins the mucus in your lungs, making it easier for the sperm to swim through your cervix and reach the egg. While guaifenesin may, indeed, result in thinner mucus, it's not clear that thin mucus alone will make you more fertile. The quantity of mucus is as important as its consistency, and Robitussin will not affect this."
And, here's a link with more info about it: http://www.fertilityplus.com/faq/cm.htmlQuote:
dahlia - it's not in my prenatal either, in addition to my multi, I take krill oil and extra Vitamin D. I also started taking extra Vitamin E recently as I read that it can help to "hold" a pregnancy and last pg my doc said I was a little low in iron and recommended that I increase it (which I did but then stopped after the mc). So, just to be on the safe side, I've been taking additional iron since the beginning of this cycle as well. Which prenatal do you take?post #267 of 9861/8/13 at 1:25pmThanks Suzie 😜 let us have a pic of your next bfp to cheer us all up lol!
Afm I've lost most of the symptoms now - lol maybe it was all caused by a cyst? AF due tomorrow so I'm waiting to see what happens, i'm still more sure that I am/was pregnant but have no expectation of a bfp reading lol. Just 'trying' to relax and enjoy the ride (hahaha so not happening!)
It seems like I'm still in waiting land and everyone else is almost to their next O... Ladies please keep posting its a fab distraction 😃😃😃😊post #268 of 9861/8/13 at 3:20pmSusie I am a day from expected AF time which is why I am so concerned it's my first month taking vitex and generally when AF is almost here I am having horrid cramps- none right now, just the spotting. If my BFP was indeed a false positive I can at least be happy that the vitex is helping my horrible PMS sympotms. I am on vitex to help with ovulation and to make my PMS from pcos less awful! Lets hope that by controlling all of those things a baby will happen soon! Do you take vitex?post #269 of 9861/8/13 at 3:29pmMe & my husband have been ttc for about 2 months now, I was suppose to ovulate on the 20th (Thursday) of December, so we had inter course on that Friday & Saturday, then again on Tuesday & Wednesday. Last period was dec. 3rd, was suppose to start, jan. 4th. (Have a 31 day cycle) so my periods go from 4, 3, 4, 3, 4.
Any way, I'm 5 days late, took a hcg Sunday morning & it was bfn! The past few days my breast have been so sore, heavy, & very swollen, like they've been a little hard, my veins on my chest are getting alot more noticeable, & I'm starting to see little white dots on areola my back hurts more & my nipples look a little purple, I go from feeling hungry to bloated, my period hasn't been late like this in 4 months, Is there still hope that I could be pregnant? Just hcg level isn't high enough yet??post #270 of 9861/8/13 at 3:33pmRe the comments about multi vits etc... I'm still taking the stuff I take for my own well being...
Percy's powders - a blood tonic with zinc, magnesium, potassium, iron, and manganese.
Mixed in a juice with my 'vital greens' (powdered super veg, folate and other vitamins etc)
Protein shake (organic rice base) in almond milk for brekky, with some high DHA fish oil caps - apparently you should daily have one cap for each 10kg body weight! (can substitute with butter, olive oil, coconut oil)
And then a bottle of water with 3 drops of iodine in 😃 lol I figure everything should be covered!
If you want a tasty healthy choc alternative, I got this recipe for 'chocolate' and added puffed grains to turn it into choc crackles...
1/2 cup coconut oil
1/2 cup 100% cacao
Honey to taste
Pinch of Himalayan salt - or more
Just melt it all except the grains in a double boiler... Add honey to taste 😃 its actually nice, and apparently coconut oil is the closest in content to breast milk lol!
Finally mix with the cereal and putt into Patty cases...
Omg can't believe I just went all cooking show rofl! See the more you guys write the less I do 😜😝post #271 of 9861/8/13 at 3:38pmMdawn - I would definitely be still having hope if it was me... Maybe wait another few days and try again? If still no bfp or AF id then think about blood tests. The only thing is (as I've learnt from being on here) there are other things that can cause the symptoms as well..
Keep us posted!post #272 of 9861/8/13 at 3:53pmQuote:Originally Posted by mamacatsbaby
Aww! So sweet about you and your DH . Hey, book away! I love reading about everyone's journeys. Oh I can just imagine the absolute joy your mom will feel when you do tell her . That's so great that your mom is your best friend; it's such a special relationship mother/daughter. I'd love another boy but I do wonder about having a girl and what a different relationship that would be compared to the ones I have with my boys. I had a dream about my mom last night and I'm still trying to figure out what it was about.
I'm sorry mamacatsbaby - I somehow missed responding to your post when I was trying to get caught up from yesterday! Thanks for your support and not being bothered by my books:) I actually asked my Mom today, "so, when I'm pregnant, when can I tell you" and she said "I don't know, maybe when you're showing" and we laughed, so guess I can't tell her for a while... I really have treasured the relationship we've shared over the years and hope that if I have a girl that we will have a special relationship as well. Funny thing is that I've always had good relationships with guys (don't take this wrong, I mean as friends - heehee) - I seem to get along better with them for some reason, so, hoping if we have a boy that we will be good buds:) I would be thrilled either way! I often wonder about what dreams mean as well... Hope you're doing alright today with waiting and not going too crazy!

Suzie what does krill oil do? I almost bought some vitamin e capsules today, but wanted to double check what it does. I'll definitely be picking some up tomorrow! Do I really need to take fish oil in addition to my prenatal? It has omega 3s in it. I don't want to over-do anything :) Thanks in advance for your help!post #274 of 9861/8/13 at 5:19pmMy period finally came, Bout two weeks late. And man, it came with VENGEANCE.
Sparkle, I think you were right. This is my 3rd Ppaf, but it feels like my first. Looking back, even though my first two were the same number of days apart and both 5 days long, they were only brown spotting. This time around I feel like I'm going to die of blood loss. I'm feeling tired, crampy, full on pms, for the first time since Obug was born. He's 20 months old now, and I'm still nursing him, but ALOT lesS.
Do you think the first two periods, even though they seemed regular, maybe I wasn't ovulating? I'm hurting right now, but I'm so excited because I feel like I have got full fertility back and we might really have a shot in January.
Funny thing is, when I got pregnant with Obug, I tested on the 11th, because my period was due on the 5th. Here I am, 3 years later and my first period comes on the 6th. HAHAHAHApost #275 of 9861/8/13 at 5:30pm
Blonhrt I'm sorry this wasn't your cycle for a bfp, but I'm glad that you seem to be in good spirits, even though it's hard right now :) It really is a good omen that your body seems to be getting to normal, which means you will have your bfp very soon! Keep your chin up, and keep trying!post #276 of 9861/8/13 at 7:24pm
hey all, looks like i'll be seein' some of you in the next tww thread. af showed up for me today, on cd26--which is rather early for me considering the cycle before that was 31 days. as it appears my cycles are deciding to be a little less than cooperative, i'm beginning to consider the idea that it may take a while yet for me, especially since we're being particular about timing for a girl! we shall see. good luck ladies!post #277 of 9861/8/13 at 7:52pmpost #278 of 9861/8/13 at 8:15pmpost #279 of 9861/9/13 at 5:38amAF arrived last night and I am really sad and in a lot of pain. I called off of work today because I am in so much pain and my boss was a total jerk about it so now I am even more upset. Like I want to sit at home by myself all day and wallow in self pity!
Thanks everyone for being so supportive I think I've decided that I am going to stop being so obsessive and getting my hopes up because two months in a row is really hurting me :/post #280 of 9861/9/13 at 5:48am
