I finished ds's balaclava (5/52).

We are about 1/3-1/2 of the way done our valentines, but I'll take a point for them when we finish.

I am about to make another balaclava for the baby in the house.

Tomorrow is ds's 1/2 birthday, but I had calculated it wrong (thought it was in March instead of Feb) so I didn't make him anything for it. *shrug*

I could also be a burr on the plate catching the bobbin thread, or a bobbin case that needs a half turn tighter. All of the above google should be able to help you
Thanks!I did try a new bobbin and rethreading but not the other things you mentioned. Thanks for the tips!

Just finished some valentines for a swap.

You guys are so creative!! I totally want to figure out how to make those stars! And that party banner is exactly what I plan on making for the kids' birthdays...i just need the right fabrics.

I've been spending more time in the downstairs living room (we own an old B&B so it's like two houses in one) and I REALLY want to strip the wallpaper in here and paint this month, even though I should be concentrating on the upstairs bathroom. It would just be so much easier. Problem is that I don't know if I have enough paint to do the whole room and there's no money in the budget for a can of No-VOC paint..And I'd have to repaint all the trim in an off-white cream color...I'm so full of ambition, but no funds to follow through. *big sigh* I just want this house to finally look like OURS, not the previous owners.

In other news, I'm making progress on the purple scarf. I just need to watch more TV - I knit fast while I watch TV!

I dyed some yarn the other day :)  I am going to make a top-down yoked baby sweater with it.  If I calculated correctly, I should hit the yellow just at the end of the yoke, so that the body and the sleeves will be all yellow, and the yoke will transition through all the greens.

I need a sweater pattern for ds. I have tons of yarn (mostly worsted and fingering some bulky). He's 5.5 but more like a 7/8 in size usually. He's into things that are "fancy". Suggestions? He's been asking me to knit him a sweater for months now.

We still haven't finished our valentines that is my goal for this week. We *need* to have them in the mail by Thursday.

I've been sewing, but nothing for points really as it's repeats of things I've taken points for ;) I sew A LOT so I'm trying to just take points for 'new' projects.  But, finished more teeny tears diapers, and working on 40 bibs. Those I will take points for when they are done...but I'm at 15/40 right now. Need to get to 40/40 before Monday! MUCH sewing to do for me!  Then, I want to work on some things for my family....we shall see!

10/52 yesterday I made 2 diapers covers for DD2 and finished up 6 fitted diapers for DS3.  I am so glad those are done with :)  My desk is that much more cleared off.  now to work on the million other projects I have started and not finished...

I know picture heavy but I wanted to prove Ive been working!

Hey, so I know I have been quiet lately.  We all got the nasty stomache bug at the end of January and it lasted fore.eve.er...  But I did get some stuff done in the last week. I made each of the boys a Cape with their initial on it for Valentine's Day.  And My youngest's birthday is also V-day so I made him a quilt.

The characters are all paper pieced and the the whole thing is just cobbled together.  I think it came out pretty nice.  And all of the materials came from my stash! The blue monster, Cookie Monster, has 120 pieces of fabric.

Liam absolutely loved it.  And he knew who everyone is.  We don't have TV in our house, but you can watch clips on Sesame Street .org and it can be a fun treat.

So, I think this puts me at 8/52 so far for the year.

I have just been sitting here. knitting away on my cardigan. I finally made it to the shawl collar though :) So I am making progress I guess! Nothing else to report though. The rice packs look awesome. I would be all about those if I had a microwave....

Rice packs are one of the reasons why I could never give up my microwave!  They are awesome to get in bed with in the winter.

I've been working a ton and finally have a few things to show for it,  I don't have pictures of everything yet but here are a couple.

Snuck this little v-day project in while working on the bedroom curtains blush.gif

Also made a little valentine doily

The babe took a little nap so I just snapped a couple more pictures.

The bedroom curtains are finished and hung!  I still have to finish the sheers for the living room, and a little swag piece, but we've had old sheets hanging in the bedroom for 6 months now!  No more!

And I finished a skirt.  My mom actually started this one about 12 years ago, we were making matching skirts.  I finished mine and wore it for years, but that was back in high school, and it never really fit after having my first baby.  My mom never finished hers, and she came across it in her sewing room recently and decided she's gained too much weight for it to fit her if she did finish it.  So she sent it to me, and it's the perfect size!  All I had to do was add the waistband, the zipper and everything were already done.
