Today has actually been a really good one for me so far! Let's hope the good luck keeps up, and rubs off on each and every one of you!
-We were able to pay off a loan that has been a monkey on our back and completely pay up the internet and phone, which was a month behind. I'm feeling so relieved with these steps forward. We did have to skip a month on hub's student loans to do this but there's no penalty to do so and it saved us money in the long run.
-Since we skipped the student loans, after we paid our bills we actually had some breathing room. We were able to get my hubs some MUCH needed new underwear, stock up on some great deals at the grocery store (butter for 1.68 a pound, eggs for 99 cents, apples for sixty cents a pound), and I can go yardsaling this weekend. We also splurged a tiny bit at the grocery store while picking up milk and flour (clearance roses for 2 bucks, a couple cartons of iced coffee clearanced for 99 cents, and a couple five dollar pieces for Saturday night dinner). This is the most splurging I have done in a LONG time.
-Speaking of pizzas, you have to love the Aldi deli pizza prices. For ten dollars I got two huge pizzas that will last my family two meals (hubby will eat his for dinner and save the rest for a lunch, same for me and the children-hubby doesn't like supreme).
-Got the Martha Stewart Halloween magazine in the mail-got a super cheap subscription earlier this year.
-Got my three free shirts, which fit wonderfully.
-Tomorrow my mom, sister and I are going to a parade for the kids.
Now if I could just get this nagging headache to go away. It looks like a tornado has sped through my home and I have some cooking to do. I need to make a batch of baked oatmeal for breakfasts, and start on applesauce for our freezer.
Averysmom, I am very sorry about the fs situation. Are you closer to stability thanks to this new job? Are there any food pantries you can use for backup?
Rainbow, I know the child stare situation all too well, lol.
