Awww Serafina you poor thing! I say relax and do whatever you can to help. I'm curious to know what causes that as well-- you can't blame being a mom with kids on summer vacation-- that's just life and you shouldn't feel guilty. Is it a direct result of over exertion? I'm finding myself SO unable to do anything I just immediately opt out and stay home. Which makes me sad of course but I told myself to slow down and listen to my body as much as possible this pregnancy.
AFM: I had such a crazy week last week I forgot to mention my awesome midwife appt!!! I hired one who does home visits and I just adore her. She's great! I was worried I didn't mesh well enough personality wise but then immediately clicked with her again over the phone, then we laughed and joked the entire appt. as well as helped me with a few concerns. She even gave me a discount on her fee for my help with her website/business cards. My freelancing has really helped me branch out to these sort of projects without much overhead on my part. It's really great!
The baby is doing well and I heard that lovely heartbeat again. On another awesome level I think I've got my yeast/BV issues under control. Yeast Arrest WORKS. She told me to just start inserting the suppository right away before the infection starts eating at my membranes. She was surprised the metrogel didn't work. So was I for that matter. I almost think it made it worse!
Another thing that helped was icing the area. I noticed it's really very swollen down there so what else have I not tried? Ice! Worked great.
Serafina, I hope your cervix stays long enough to let the baby "cook" longer and let you relax and not worry.
I had my 28 week appointment today. Everything looks great. Baby is growing well. My blood pressure was a little high on the machine but 30 points lower when they took it manually. The nurse said to just have them take it manually from now on.
