Thanks for your reply!  I think you're right and we need to just keep practicing!  She is just such a ram rod.  She is the total opposite of DD1 and I wasn't prepared for this!  Pillows are a good idea.  Maybe in our new house we'll make her a padded room so we can just let her loose! Lol!

With DS I put pillows under everything, and just plain got rid of anything he could climb on and hurt himself.  It was a pain, but sometimes...you know...you have to pee alone.  You just do what you have to.  We lived in a studio apartment, and he was always climbing the drawers onto the counters and climbing into the washer and dryer.  I bought giant pieces of lattice from the hardware store to deter him.

B is not a climber, she is more of a silent trouble maker. She is always finding crayons/markers/pens the older kids leave down and drawing on the walls.  Or getting a hold of paperback books and ripping pages out.  Or opening the entertainment center and taking all the DVD's out of the cases.  She has figured out the baby locks on the 2 whole non-baby-friendly cabinets we have.

Shay's a climber. I guess he fell off the kitchen table last night (and ate some of Soren's baby food and threw the jar) while I was at work and Sara was laying Soren down. He's been climbing for the last 4 months. He can get back down from most places. He has certainly fallen down the stairs before. He generally does pretty well with them, tho. We just turned him around until he got the hang of it.

Coralie isn't much of a climber, but she can get down from things on her own. I showed her a few times and she seemed to get it easily. All my kids could get down on their own by 12mo.. Olivine was a climber and I just let her do it. I wasn't going to spend the entire day stressing about what she was doing. She's always been very well balanced and rarely fell off of anything. She could bounce on a trampoline at 11mo!

I have a completely off topic question- but I know some of you do NFP and know a lot about charting. Now, keep in mind that my husband had a very successful vasectomy orngbiggrin.gif. But, I'm trying to keep track of my cycles...I'm facing possibly having to have a hysterectomy or having my uterine lining cauterized. I just want to make sure I have all of the tools to make the best decision and get the best diagnosis, knowing whatever it is I will come to realize.

So my question- is it possible to ovulate twice in one month? My chart (which I wish I could link here but I can't) has me ovulating CD8 and CD18. And from what I know about my body- I was thinking the same thing. I have no idea where this leaves me. I'm totally lost.

Oren also loves to climb. He can get on and off the couch fine, to the point that I am fully comfortable leaving him on the couch and walking away. I taught him the proper way to get down when he was 11 months, just by turning him around over and over. It took him longer than DD to get it (I literally showed her twice when she was 9 months) but it was a smooth process over all. We've mostly removed anything we don't want the babies climbing on. Dd was a crazy climber (she could climb on the kitchen table before she could walk, and she walked at 10 months) I mostly had to keep her arms-length at all times until she was old enough to have a sense of her own body and be able to follow a request to get down.

Ash, your cycles might still be wacky? If your chart is on fertility friend, you can click share to get a link. Or you can take a picture of your chart and share that. Are you bleeding a lot? Or often? Or is it a cramping thing? I have heard great things from people who had theirs cauterized with the hot balloon thing. Sara's bleeding, because she's so young was offered control with birth control.

I've got a climber over here!

Avery just figured out how to get down safely about a week ago.  I showed them how to do it by moving their bodies for them.  After repeating this many times, they all figured it out in their own time. Avalon had it down by 8 months, but both my boys took longer.  I'm fine with Avery climbing onto most things we have now that he can get down safely, but the stairs still concern me, so we follow him up and down.  Today Avalon didn't close the top of the stair gate properly and Avery figured out how to open it and was holding on for dear life out over the stairs, screaming.  My heart was beating up in my throat- that would have been a very long fall.  Ugh.

I love charting and would be happy to help.  If you're charting in FF you can link the chart here.  If not, like Sara said, you can take a screen shot or maybe save a pic to your hard drive and upload here.  Or maybe even drag it onto this screen.  It is possible to release two eggs in one cycle, certainly, but as far as I know it would be extremely unlikely to release two eggs 10 days apart.  Much more likely is an outlier temp combined with CF.  You must not be using FF, now that I think about it, b/c that program wouldn't have you Oing twice in one cycle.  I assume there was no bleeding between the supposed O days?  See if you can show us your chart.

I will try to figure out how to get my chart off of my Kindle and onto the computer or my phone :/  I do not use Fertility Friend, but maybe I should switch over.  I am having abnormally long heavy, PAINFUL periods- but still a completely normal 29 day cycle. I'm severely anemic.  And as far as I can tell I'm ovulating a different cycle day every month, except this month where its been twice :/  At this point I am so frustrated I just want to go in and beg them to rip the damn things out, but I don't want to react out of frustration.

I'm going to have to wean after winter and go on hard core BC pills if I cant get it under control.

Can you go on the mini-pill (is that what it's called??) now? I know there is one that is safe for breastfeeding. Jaimee is probably right about ovulating. The program is making a mistake. Also, I know cycles change after the babies! After dd1, I was perfect, like clockwork. After dd2, horrible, random, painful, heavy periods. After J, yet to be seen. Plus, I have the Mirena.

Hey ladies, some advice please!  My neighbor was helping me assemble the kids' new bunk beds and he was on Avery duty for a few minutes.  He decided to put him up on the bed to play and then walked out of the room, not thinking about Avery on the bed.  Avery was jumping on the bed as I walked into the room and I watched in slow motion as he fell off... vertically, directly onto his head.  His neck curled as he fell onto his back.  It was like a cartoon.  I'm not worried about his head-  it wasn't far and it was carpeted- I'm worried about his neck.  I've called the doctor to see if there is anything I should do or be on the look out for- they said just watch for him favoring anything or appearing in pain as I move his head from side to side, which he seems fine with.  She said not anti-inflammatories so that we don't mask anything that might be getting worse.  Any other advice?

Oh no, Jaimee, I'm sorry! That must've been so terrifying for both of you! I would go see a chiropractor as soon as you could get Avery in. I would trust them above anyone else to diagnose a problem with the neck or spine. If nothing else, an adjustment may just help if the fall caused any subluxations.

Oh Bettie falls on her head all the time. Haha. Like, directly onto he top of her head like you described. I was so freaked out the first few times, especially when she fell off the kitchen table onto the hard floor- but she was fine. I was far more bothered than she was. Babies Are so unbelievably durable! The other day she fell in he crack behind the couch (one of the older kids had moved it away from the wall just a few inches) directly on her head to the ground, wedged upside down just hanging there with her neck all crinkled...

Regarding BCP's, I tried the mini pill. It made me SO moody and awful. I thought I was going crazy.

Thanks, Ash!  I tend to think everything will always be okay b/c it always has been.  It's good to hear other babies have done the cartoon fall and been fine.  My neighbor actually freaked me out a bit b/c he said his son had done the same thing and sprained his neck badly.  They didn't know until the next day when he was so stiff and walking around like a zombie.  My neighbor is not coming off too well  right now...  LOL!  But he's really a very nice guy.  I could tell he felt terrible.

Awww Jaimee that sounds awful! I hope he will be okay. Eli fell of the change table once when he was about 5 months old. He fell on his tummy and I was so worried something was wrong. They are so resilient! He alo fell off the couch onto his head too... And he was fine. With all the talk about climbing, Eli can get off the couch and our bed really well, he was able to since he was about 8 months old. He is struggling a little with the bed since we got our new mattress since it is way thicker than our old one. He is just getting to the climbing thing. He keeps stepping on blocks (he has stacking abc blocks that go from Small to big) and I can see he is learning to climb to the couch.

I was on the mini pill and hated it. I was super moody and my sex drive was non existent. When I went off it it took us 9 months to get pregnant, my periods were super irregular. I took a product called Estrosense and got pregnant within a month. It regulates hormones naturally. It also cleared up acne that I got every month around my period and made my periods regular and less heavy. I loved it!

Sounds pretty similar to what I experienced.  Thank you for the link, I will have to look into it.  I used to take a nettle tincture but it is NOT friendly with breastfeeding at all.  Although, the very last thing I need is to increase my fertility...I do not know what the vasectomy failure rate is, but there have never been 2 more fertile people in the world and I do not want to test it :P

Jaimee, that must have been terrifying!!! I hope everything is okay.

Mini pill, I loved it. No migraines for the first time ever, super short, pain free periods, and it obviously didn't mess with my hormones too bad or mess up my fertility.

Speaking of fertility...

Another non-fan of the mini pill here. I was already having milk supply issues and my supply tanked when I was on it... which didn't help the suicidal feelings and crying jags I was getting, either. Then my blood pressure shot up to something like 170/100 and I had to go to urgent care...

Jaimee, I hope Avery is back to 100% soon!

Oh, and love that ultrasound! What a little bean!

Annamaria has not mastered climbing (yet), but we've been buying outlet covers in mass quantities here...
