Toddler - Loss of skin / flesh from treadmill. Advice on Healing Needed

Hi-

My toddler stuck her finger into the moving treadmill belt of her grandmother's treadmill.  She sliced off some of the side of her pinkie finger.  We have been wrapping it with antibiotic cream and gauze.  Any advice on what to do with the finger itself or general healing we should be doing?

I already feel like the worst mother in the world.  :(

Thanks in advance for any help.  We will be going to the doctor tomorrow!

Are you breastfeeding? I put breastmilk on any wounds, and they heal super quick!

I am still breastfeeding.  That is a good idea and for some reason I didn't think of it since we are down to once a day!  Thanks!

Sounds like it's a friction burn. Those can take a while to heal even with the best care. Sounds like you are on the right path. Good luck.
