Hi there yippiehippie!
I have to say I am pretty much right with you.
I too see where many, if not all, churches are far from the original intention.
I was raised Baptist and still go to this type of church w/ my husband, but really I have some very different beliefs.
I have to say that I reject some of the major teachings of my church from Jesus being God come in the Flesh to the very organization of the church itself.
Yet, my beliefs are based on the Bible. . . .how strange is that??? LOL !
I can't say I feel like I "fit" anywhere either.
But are we really suppose to ?
Jesus was the "oddball" wherever He went.
I used to feel as if no one really agreed with me (no one here in my hometown does for sure). . . but lately I've been conversing with these people I met on facebook and have found that they too agree with me. They've been a great encouragement to me. They meet in a "home church" fellowship setting and don't belong to any particular denomination, although they are building a webpage. I've learned that the true "church" is a body of True believers world-wide. Someday, we will meet face to face. :)
So that's good incentive for me to take up my cross and follow Jesus daily.
But I understand that alone and am-I-really-crazy-for-thinking-this feeling .
Feel free to message me off the board if you want to talk further. . .okay ?
