How long until she gets used to no nap.

My daughter was napping 1 maybe 2 times a week until 2 weeks ago when she decided she didn't want to stay in her room anymore. She has pretty much been weaning off from naps for 6+ months now. I started doing "cuddle time" on mommy's bed where we would read, "pretend" to sleep which is just me hoping she might sleep and knowing she never will for like 15 minuets and then she plays on my iphone (bad i know) while i get a half hour to read my novel. This sounds good but day 8 here with no nap and she is a MESS. How long will it be with no naps until she finally adjust to it? a few weeks, a few months, another year?

it is such a hard time when they are in that transition! unfortunately i think it is really child dependent how long it takes them to get used to not napping, but i can't see it lasting a year :)

Are you putting her to bed really early?  My kids dropped naps young, at 26 and 28 months, and for at least 6 months their bedtime became 6:30pm.   No joke.  Everything shifted up, dinnertime, etc.   For that timeframe they hardly saw their daddy during the week because of his work schedule (yay for weekends!), which sucked, but hub and I agreed sleep was more important for that short time period.
