Sourire - I am so sorry. I was gone for a while and just read the news. I hope your trip brings you much healing.

Lilac- I am sorry about your job. hugs to you too.You have been saving for this for a long time, you deserve a break.

AFM - Hi to all the newcomers. I have been gone for a while to take a break, clean up my mom's affairs after she died, and figure out our next steps. We are planning a FET with donor embryos in the next month or two. I picked the profiles today and have appointments for a saline u//s and dye test next Mon and Thurs. Then I just have to wait for AF and get started. The donors are a mystery in every way, which is something that brings me a little comfort, in a weird way.

Lilac- sorry to hear about the stress of your job! I'm surprised they're letting you go after being so generous with helping you get to IVF. I hope something new works out so you don't have worries about that while you're making eggs & getting pregnant

Rcr- I'm so happy to see you back & your new plan sounds exciting & promising! I was reading along the grads thread, did you decide to go with your clinic or the one in CA? Any word on the intralipids?

Nieves- You're doing everything right! I started off slow too. Thinking good thoughts for growing eggs! I second acupuncture if it is available or the circle + bloom IVF meditations. They made a huge difference inmy mood & relaxation.

Guppy- did you ask what happened to the other 6? Just my experience, I had 12 retrieved, 6 were mature, 5 fertilized , 3 made it to day 5 blasts. You just never know. 5 is plenty, you only need 1 baby! Hang in there!

Tracy- A lot of people seem to cramp right after so I wouldn't worry but I really don't know why. Take it easy so those little embies can grow!

Sitting in meetings yesterday and just relying in the voicemail left by the clinic drove me nuts yestreday. Good night sleep and a massage scheduled at lunch today should help. I'll call the clinic later today to find out how the 5 are doing - indeed, need only one!

Lilac - seriously stinks about job and timing. But so glad you still have one more IVF there! Totally frustrating, the whole insurance scam.

Ultrasound went well, no beating heart yet so I go back in a week but baby is measuring on time. I'm ready to move to graduates, I'll be lurking to cheer you all on!

AFM - I just had my appointment with the doctor. Now we have a plan! I'm going on Lupron starting today for 2 months. I read a study recently that showed that women with endometriosis who took Lupron for 2-3 months before IVF had pregnancy rates 4 times as high as those who did not take Lupron so I'm really happy the doctor suggested this. I'll do my next FET in April after the Lupron. I won't be doing the progesterone injections this time. Instead I'll be on Crinone twice a day. That's what I took for my last IUI and I had a lot less spotting in that cycle then I did with intramuscular progesterone. I'll also be getting an endometrial biopsy at the end of March to increase my chances a bit more. We'll try to transfer our remaining blast which is a 2BB.

TF - I am going with both, kinda. the california clinic has the same prerequisites as my local clinic, so we are getting them done. We are transferring at my local clinic and if that does not work we can do the california clinic right away.  I am not sure what to do about the interlipids. Honestly I don't know what to believe. So many doctors don't believe it, and I had a successful pregnancy without them (with my son). So maybe I don't need it. In any case, if I can't find a doctor to do it, I guess I can't do it. Fisch sent my records to both clinics, so we will see what they say.

rcr, that sounds like an excellent plan for your next little one. I hope your donor embryos turn into cute little ones for you and your family.

AFM, my superintendent of schools knows of the IVF, but my local principal and school board chairman do not. The superintendent is the one who requested the extra funds for me and got them approved without telling the financial committee the exact purpose for the funds. I have applied for 5 new jobs so far - mostly as an academic advisor at the college level or an admissions representative. I am qualified to be a school guidance counselor or chemistry, math, and computer teacher. Since I will be changing jobs, I would like to use my school guidance counseling more but I would be equally happy teaching.

A friend of mine, I believe she was even on this board for a while tried for 7 years, with several different methods using IVF etc and finally was able to carry ONLY because of the interlipids.  I wish you luck RCR, good things to come, mama <3

So... I had no follicles develop on the left and the right has the four that were there. Two were between 17&18 and two between 11&12. Saturday we go back for another US. I'm trying so hard to stay hopeful and positive while also preparing myself for the possibility of what is our last ivf cycle switched to yet another IUI.

Yea, but if the two doctors that I can afford right now refuse to do the interlipids, I don't have much of a choice. I wish things were different, but interlipids are not going to happen at the clinics that I can afford. And I can't afford another cycle at SIRM (I have done two already). So I hope that the current doctors are right and there really is no proof that interlipids work, or at least they won't make a difference for me.

AFM- After much delay at the clinic -- two HIPs went in (7 and 8 cell). Better than last time quality wise. So now on my way home to rest for the afternoon and hope they stick!
