What Are Your New Year's Resolutions?

According to a study by the Journal of Clinical Psychology 45% of Americans make New Year's resolutions every year. And while only 8% of people accomplish these goals, the study states that a person is ten times more likely to attain their ambitions if they explicitly state them as resolutions.

Check out this article about the most common New Year's Resolutions. Are your 2013 goals on this list?

Tell us about them in this thread and we'll make a whole new article listing the Top Ten New Year's Resolutions from Mothering Members!

I have had the same resolutions for the past few years :/

-Make more kitchen-y stuff from scratch; yogurt, butter, mixes (pancake, herb blends etc..)

-Eat well! Cook most of our meals at home!

-Organize our home and STICK WITH IT

My resolution this year is to be more conscientious about eating healthy, toxins in our home, shopping local and sticking to a budget.

I hold yearly Mantras. Yearly Focus.

2012 was PATIENCE. Helped in the vast transitions that took place to lead to our birth.

2013 is HONOUR. After becoming a partner to my fiance, a Mother to my child, I need to rediscover myself. Honour myself and my true yearnings.

Wearing a Turquoise stone to strengthen this mantra.

Be More organized when it comes to stuff so there will be no need to buy anything that is not needed.

Be More organized when it comes to money so we can save more.

Be More organized when it comes to time so we can be more productive.

I hope to better preserve memories and record the quotidian and mundane this year. Last year, I successfully completed my 365 Project and am striving to add a daily entry in my journal and a memory to the family "memory jar at the end of the day. On NYE we looked over all of the pictures from the year together as a family and utilized a photo book website to put together a family yearbook. On NYE 2013 it's my hope to review the written records alongside our pics and add both to another family yearbook.
