splath, tinkerbell-- how are y'all doing? I'm not spotting but having some some epic-ally wrong test results via Kaiser. Getting HGC test tomorrow and am so scared the damn #s will not be doubled. They are at 3800 now. Hate this waiting game! Sticky thoughts and baby dust all around!

My two previous pregnancies I have not had any bleeding and with this one it has been coming and going for a week.  It varies from bright red to brown.  I will wipe and a fair amount will show on the toilet paper...but I am not bleeding heavily.  My midwife advised me to get an ultrasound for peace of mind and to avoid sex for awhile...I went walking yesterday for 45 minutes and started bleeding again.  Anyhow ultrasound showed that baby is doing great so far...but it is scary when you grow up learning blood in early pregnancy is cause for concern.  The internet is not a good source for researching this issue because more fear is thrown at your face.  I am comforted to know other mothers have experienced this and carried full-term babies....but it is hard not to feel concerned.

Has the midwife done an exam or culture? When I was spotting I had an exam and she could tell that the bleeding was coming from my cervix. She also tested for any infection because that can irritate the cervix and cause bleeding.

No she has not...I will ask her about that though. Thanks for the info:)

I've pretty much been spotting pink since January 9th. I've had 2 ultrasounds and both have shown a healthy babe and no reason for me to be spotting. My next ultrasound isn't until Feb. 27th. I imagine everything is ok.. and finally about 3 days ago my spotting decreased significantly from 2-3 pantyliners a day to not really needing one. I still have a little discharge but nothing like before.
