I woke up in labor Monday morning, went to work, left work when the contractions were 7 mins apart, and had her at 6:10 that night! My doula/midwife had checked me at home at 1:30 pm, and I was only 2 cm. We headed for the hospital after 5 cm, texting the midwife so she could meet us there. Welll, she didn't make it. We barely even made it! The doc on call came in and caught her. I think I pushed through 2 contractions and that was it. No tearing or anything. I was a great big baby during that last hour, as this was my only natural birth, but I wouldn't have done it any other way! I'm so happy it was quick!
And Lydia is absolutely perfect!!! <3 She was 7 lb, 11 oz and 19 in.
