Ugh. I vomitted into a snowbank on the way to pick up my five-year-old from school yesterday. On the bright side, good thing there was a snowbank!
That was my second time puking so far, but it doesn't bode well. I'm 11 weeks today, and things are just getting worse for me. This is typical of my pregnancies. I can look forward to another month of this. April can't come soon enough!
Sorry to hear others are suffering, too.

Beginning of week 10! Feeling great today, little nauseous but great energies today. The few days I don't feel totally dead I notice I'm in a better mood than pre-preg!- letniaLynne

Right there with you galls! I'm 14 wks as well and still feeling nauseous
It seems to be tapering off a bit but the heartburn and AWFUL taste in my mouth is still here. Does anyone else have a sickening taste in their mouth no matter what they eat or how much they brush? It sort of tastes like a mild version of throw up
yuck!! Also it contributes to the nausea since I keep swallowing to get rid of it then the nausea heightens. Such a vicious cycle!!post #485 of 11723/2/13 at 8:47pm- MamaMash

Letnia- I have the awful taste! It has gotten a bit better this week though. I'm 13 weeks so I'm sorry it's still terrible for you. One thing I found works to get rid of it for awhile is to put a tiny bit of baking soda in some warm water. Swish that in your mouth and spit it out obviously. This might give you a little relief. Good luck!post #486 of 11723/2/13 at 9:27pm- tillymonster

Any ladies here having super itchy skin issues? I think I am getting some ecsema and maybe even psoriasis. I have Hashimoto's which is auto immune so I guess it's common to get other disorders too. Aren't I so lucky? I broke out into hives last night and had to lay down before I drove myself crazy. And this was at like midnight while I was trying to have some time with DH. Of course. I started reading a new book because I cycled through almost every British series on Netflix. Nothing compares to Downton Abbey except maybe The Forsyte Saga. Love them Brits!
I feel like crap the days I don't sleep like 10 hours. That's just not possible everyday! My 3yo dropped her nap so she's been sleeping almost 12 hours a night with one wake up at 6am to snuggle back to sleep. Loving my little sleeper right now!
I'm really trying to work out but omigod I'm so tired and just am NOT feeling it. I'm much sicker than I was with DD so I don't even know what to expect. My hormones are not as crazy this time either. It's all physical symptoms! Can anyone recommend a good workout with adjustable barbells, stretch cords or a kettlebell? I really don't know where to start on that front for safe pregnancy workouts.
Going to a BBQ with my sis tomorrow hope I'm not sick all darn day again!
Wow Sarah we are neighbors! I'm near Pasadena! Wasn't it AWESOME today?!!!post #487 of 11723/3/13 at 1:52amI get a nasty taste in my mouth after I've eaten, especially after eating something like ice cream or chocolate. it's not great.

I really don't know where to start on that front for safe pregnancy workouts.I'd stay away from the kettlebell if I were you just because a lot of KB exercises are based on using inertia. You probably don't want to subject your joints to such forces right now when the relaxin is loosening everything up, I see a greater potential for injury with those than anything else.
Mostly I'd say slow and steady if you're going to lift weights, i.e. again no using inertia to "lift" your weights. I know a lot of women like yoga for pregnancy, I like classes that focus on holding poses for longer periods of time (where you'll be contracting isometrically, not passively "sinking in" to a pose).
I think the big thing about working out (in general) is that it's about controlling the movements at your joints, so e.g. if you're squatting and coming back up control that last part where you straighten out your knees, don't just jam them back into a hyperextension or let them "pop" back.Anyway, those are my general guidelines. I'm happy to talk more if you want to PM me.

I am feeling decidedly unpregnant today. My ms is all but gone. I have a nasty sinus thing going on so that's over powering everything else. I associate early pregnancy with feeling terrible ms all the time. I was sick until 15 weeks with my dd and this time it stopped (fingers crossed) at about 12 1/2 weeks. I guess I'm just worried. I do still have a lot of gas so I guess that's a good sign. Anyone else experience this?post #490 of 11723/4/13 at 1:29amI wouldn't worry. I'm sure for me last time, my morning sickness went away at about the same time. This time I'm not so lucky!

post #494 of 11723/4/13 at 10:32ami just got back from the grocery store (it was horrific trying to get foodstuff while incredibly nauseous) BUT i found anti--nausea wristbands in the pharmacy section (of superstore for all my canuk friends)...i paid $14.00 bucks for them & put them on as soon as i came home...WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! it took about 15 mins to kick in...no nausea...quite amazing!
post #495 of 11723/4/13 at 10:45amI wish they worked that well for me. I think they worked during my last pregnancy, but this time they made no difference. Although your comment has made me want to try them again.

I've literally been wearing mine for a month, and am too afraid to take them off except to shower! :)
post #497 of 11723/5/13 at 12:57amI put mine back on last night, but there still seems to be no difference for me. I'm going to keep them on anyway just in case they do help.

I made my husband get me anti-nausea bracelets last night! I wore them non-stop in my first pregnancy. I'm not sure if they really make a difference, but I'm getting desperate. My "morning" (all day) sickness is just getting worse, and the Diclectin doesn't seem to be doing a thing right now. I'm going to try skipping it today altogether and see if that makes a difference.
I've definitely turned a corner where it seems I need to avoid eating as much now. Before, I had to eat every two hours to calm my stomach, but now I'm just throwing up when I do. It's so depressing. The only bright side — the hope I'm clinging to desperately — is that this will all be over in about a month, if all goes like my previous pregnancies. Four or five more weeks.... four or five more weeks...

The nausea I can handle on some days, meanwhile.. Or I've just accepted my inability to function until I reach the second trimester.
Right now (10 weeks) I have (tmi) (tmi) painful gas.... Even wanted to leave work early yesterday because of it.
hope today will be better. Anyone have any ideas for that??
Other than that, starting to wear my new per-maternity clothes at work today (until I'm ready to announce).. Excited and happy about being a bit bigger, but also nervouse that people may pick up on it!post #500 of 11723/5/13 at 10:32am- chispita

Quote:Try to figure out if there's anything you eat that makes it worse - for me it was wheat. If so, avoid that food in the first half of the day. And see if you can be alone at your most gassy times (better not to hold it in); if that's not possible, take a 30 min break on the toilet with a book and see if that helps anything come out so you'll feel better.
