Anyone else SUPER tired? Ugh. Apparently my DH is getting sympathy fatigue too. Omigod it's making me mad. Lazy bum!
post #524 of 10233/14/13 at 4:55pmYES, Tillymonster, I am positively DYING for a nap by 1:30 in the afternoon, then I just drag around until a respectable bed time.
My DH is always, always sleepy, so I am not surprised that he is cool with the frequent early nights.post #525 of 10233/14/13 at 5:58pm- MamaMash

I had that happen way earlier on (week 6 or 7 I think) with hummus. I was ravenous at that time and was looking for good food for at my desk and hummus and carrots seemed like a good idea. Halfway through the small container of hummus I just couldn't any more. Hummus just started revolting me. And even though I seem to be past most of my major food cravings and aversions, hummus is still not a food I am willing to even look at because even the thought of it makes me nauseous.
hummus used to be one of my staples, but i haven't touched it since week 6. just the thought of it grosses me out! i've switched to mashed avocado and cottage cheese instead.

started taking vitamin b-6 and unisom yesterday -- and was actually able to get a few things done before i started getting sleepy. had been glued to the couch since week 6 so it was so good to finally not be totally nauseous. could have been placebo effect though, i'm always skeptical when meds start working right the first time i take them.
anyhow just took them again (i get bad evening nausea, so i can go without taking anything the whole day most of the days, i think, and just reserve this for the evenings) and am planning to vacuum, clean up my desk and fold some laundry before my fiancé gets home! :)

I've been super into cottage cheese lately, too! One odd thing I noticed though, I devoured the Trader Joe's organic brand, but I could not STAND the organic one from Whole Foods. It tasted so different to me.
post #529 of 10233/15/13 at 1:35amI want all your hot weather! I've never experienced anything hotter than 86 degrees in this country. But then I would probably moan if it did get that hot.
I realised yesterday that I'm not suffering as much as I was with morning sickness. Things aren't making me gag quite as much and I'm not feeling quite as sick as I was. I'm also not needing to have nearly as many naps. Despite all that I still don't feel great, but maybe it's a sign that morning sickness will go away before I'm 20 weeks.
How's everyone else feeling now?
post #530 of 10233/15/13 at 3:13amMy morning sickness has gone! Yippee! My boobs r still sore, I get tired in the day but can't sleep well at night and my backs aching lots. And I can eat pretty much normally now, only a few things make me gag.
I just wanna 'glow' now lol- letniaLynne

I'm 16 weeks and I can say in the last week my MS has been making a significant run for the hills
Their even was a moment today where I actually forgot I was pregnant. It was so strange and then it hit me " I'm pregnant" lol I totally attribute it to a moment of complete wellness
. It was only a moment but I finally feel what I remember about the second trimester returning; the feeling of wellness!!!
I've still been sleeping poorly and feeling generally fatigued / lazy but I'm hoping I can slowly get moving again and with it will come more energy.
Anyone else dealing with a yeast infection this pregnancy? I felt one coming on this past week, I attribute it to having sex and then not taking a shower or even cleaning up till the next morning. It's happened a few times when I just pass out after sex and I'm always more sensitive to those when pregnant. Luckily about 5 years ago my midwife taught me to dusch with a mild water and hydrogen peroxide solution at the first sign and to continue 2 times a day until it subsides. Since she taught me that method I've never had a full blown one
post #532 of 10233/15/13 at 4:06pmI envy you both! My hips are not happy at all this time round. If I stand in a certain position for too long it really hurts. And sleeping is about as bad. I didn't have any hip issues with my last pregnancy so this is new to me. I also feel heavy; it just seems like so much more effort to sit up or stand up, like i suddenly weigh twice as much.
Today as been quite a good day because I was busy all day, so didn't notice the nausea which was nice.

I'm gQuote:I'm going through the same thing! My right hip and sacrum hurt so bad and I can't sleep well because of it. I went to the chiropractor today and he wasn't happy with the fact that my sacrum is hurting this early. He told me to come in once a week to see if that helps and if it doesn't then he suggested sacrum support which I didn't ask what that even meant.Originally Posted by nettlesoup

Same here! Ugh the pain in the AM sucks because I want to go back to sleep! I'm using a pregnancy belt from Motherhood Maternity and the chiropractor. I'm so amazed at how much better my entire body feels after an adjustment. Go get one ladies! I didn't have this kind of pain with my first either!
Things are still making me feel barfy and it's really annoying feeling like that at night. I'm also SO hungry and tired. I'm about to hit 12wks so I hope the 2nd trimester brings some energy cause all I want to do is watch TV and lay on the couch. Not good for my 3yo.
And how do you eat avocado and cottage cheese?!?! Lol sounds wrong but I bet it's good. I'm on a huge cereal + fruit kick. And WIC gives me two big boxes for free. Not very good for me though...post #535 of 10233/16/13 at 8:25am- vc2013

Mostly as bread spreads., although I also eat cottage cheese by the spoon or in a half cantaloupe. :P
I've had three occurrences of pregnancy-induced carpal tunnel the last two weeks. I just hit 12 weeks today, my midwife was surprised and said she would have to look into that. I too have read on the Internet it doesn't usually hit till much later in the pregnancy, like around week 25-30.post #536 of 10233/16/13 at 11:29am- SuzieSmiles

Quote:My morning sickness = nausea is pretty much gone now as well:D It's funny, it happened right around the 12 week mark and I was amazed! I'll be 14 weeks this coming week! I'm so happy about the nausea being gone but dealt with some headaches on and off last week that bummed me out quite a bit.
This weekend I'm feeling great so far (hope it lasts)! I do still have some food aversions and for some reason I don't want to eat salad greens (which I normally love, can only eat strong crisp romaine-type of greens now), also don't want carrots or tomatoes (also foods I normally love). Weird... Cheese is my best friend these days, we're real tight!

Serena - I too am wanting that glow! Ugh, when will it happen?!?
And, as some of you have said, I'm really hungry now too! My appetite has definitely picked up over the last week or so. I'm amazed at how much I can eat!! Don't want to gain too much weight or too fast, so I'd better be careful at allowing myself to indulge (although it's been nice actually being able to eat for a change). I haven't really gained anything so far, maybe a pound or two at most...
vs2013 - sorry about the carpal tunnel, hope you don't have any more flare-ups. And, sorry to those of you suffering with other pains, hips, etc... hope it gets better for everyone.
post #537 of 10233/16/13 at 12:27pmI'm looking forward to being hungry again! I think my symptoms are lessening now; I'm not feeling as bad as I was, so hopefully that means it's starting to ease off now for good.
post #538 of 10233/16/13 at 2:15pmI feel so fat, I've put a lot of weight on. It took me 2 years to lose nearly 100lbs and only 3 months to put 25lb back on! I hate it

Can I join in? I'm feeling pretty good today, and I was yesterday. Will be 12 weeks Monday, so maybe I'm finally turning the corner? I sure hope so, but I'll be relieved if we can find a hb at my MW appointment on Tuesday, because the cessation of symptoms has me a little worried, too. I've been having horrible headaches almost everyday lately, too, and I've started to suspect I'm getting too much iron from my prenatals. Going off them for a while to see if it helps.post #540 of 10233/16/13 at 8:08pm- vc2013

12 weeks today.
today was the first day i went hiking again ever since the nausea set in. i've taken my nausea meds (vitamin b6 25mg together with a half unisom) three times today and can't believe how much it helps. we had friends visiting us from out of town and it felt soo good to be more active again!
i'm pretty worn out now but happy; i can't believe i went 5 weeks without seeking any medical help for the nausea. if i could do it over again or give somebody else advice, it would be to try stuff out before going through weeks of feeling shitty.
