Yep. I gained 50lbs. with DD1 and lost 75lbs. before she was conceived which took over 5 years. Now I'm heavier then I was when I started. I totally agree it's NOT FAIR!

vc-- good to hear you feel better. What kind of nausea are we talking? I'm still feeling barfy and am scared its not going anywhere.

I feel sick (no barfing) after eating, especially if its gluttonous, rich or processed. Even potatoes. I really need to eat better but we are really tight on money and the cheaper food sucks and we end up doing fast food. That is making me sad. I find organics and good quality meat to taste way better but can't afford it right now. Really pissed about that!

Strangely enough-- these fruit gummy candies stop my nausea in its tracks while I was shopping at Trader Joes. Strange!

vc; I'm really glad the medication has made such a positive difference to you.

I still haven't got round the checking my weight. I probably have put on some weight since I'm eating more frequently than before.

Are there different types of nausea? I've been having all-day, all-night sickness and throwing up with or without nausea every few days. haven't thrown up now in almost a week! Are you taking anything? How far along are you?

I sure hope so, but I'll be relieved if we can find a hb at my MW appointment on Tuesday, because the cessation of symptoms has me a little worried, too. I've been having horrible headaches almost everyday lately, too, and I've started to suspect I'm getting too much iron from my prenatals. Going off them for a while to see if it helps.

Glad you're feeling better Jennyanydots. When I started to feel better, I got worried as well... even stopped by my midwives office to do a quick doppler check in my 12th week to hear the hb:) It definitely reassured me but made me feel stupid at the same time for being worried just because I was feeling better... They said it's perfectly normal to worry when you start to feel better and that helped me to not feel like such a freaky worry wort!

Sorry to hear about your headaches, I feel ya for sure, I get them from time to time as well. My MW suggested I take 1000mg of calcium d-glucorate before bed and that is supposed to help (been doing this for about 3 weeks now). And, it did initially help but I've found I'm very sensitive to things now and they tend to trigger headaches. For instance, if I go to bed too late or have long stretches between meals, I will get a headache the following day. So, I just need to watch these things and be more careful. Hope your appointment on Tuesday goes well and that they can offer something to you to help with your headaches.

I also got very worried when I started feeling better ladies. I didn't end up going in for a Doppler check because I figured I was just being crazy smile.gif and, I was. Baby looked great on Friday at 15 weeks.

Thanks,SuzieSmiles smile.gif the calcium supplement idea is great- I forgot that taking a cal/magnesium supplement helped me some when I was pg with DS.

I hear y'all about nervousness when symptoms abate. I'm extra anxious this time around because last time my sx went away about ten weeks, and we found out a week later that we'd lost the baby. That heartbeat will be a welcome sound on Tues!

Tillymonster & vc- hope y'all get some relief from the nausea soon.

Has anyone else completely lost their libido? There is absolutely no trace of mine at all! I feel sorry for my OH, but he understands thankfully.

YES Nettlsoup! Completely gone. No trace. I do feel bad for DH but he's been pretty understanding. It's ironic, I made him have sex with me so much when we were ttc and then as soon as I'm pregnant I want none of it. Poor guy.

Haha, that's exactly the same with me! I'm glad I'm not the only one here. I never had that much of a sex drive anyway, but this is just silly.

I finally had gotten mine back once I went off bcp. Then 2 months later I was pregnant. It's so bad that he can try every kind of foreplay that normally works for me and it literally does nothing for me. I obviously don't tell him that haha, but it's ridiculous. I thought it might get better in the 2nd tri but so far it's not.

Yes, nettlesoup - ugh! I thought I was the only one, so glad you brought this up!! My DH understands as well but I still feel terrible about it.

And, ditto MamaMash, same exactly for me! I'm hoping it gets better now that I'm in the 2nd trimester... fingersx.gif

Did either of you have this the happen the first time around? And if so, does it get better (please tell me it improves)?

Mine just recently picked up again so maybe it is a 2nd trimester thing. DH has no desire to be intimate at all greensad.gif

I am very happy to report that I'm starting to feel better! Woohoo!

I went from the all-day nausea, to about two weeks of throwing up a few times a day (better in some ways, but unpredictable and made me afraid to leave the house), to finally only feeling queasy if I let myself get too hungry and in the evenings. This is a big improvement and I'll take it! I'm 13w2d, and this is officially the earliest the sickness has lifted in any of my pregnancies! (Okay, I better stop talking about it, or I'll totally jinx myself...)

Speaking of libidos, that seems to be coming back too, thank goodness. My husband will be happy, if we ever find time to make use of it. orngtongue.gif (I have two nigthowl kids and then he has to get up super early for work, so we hardly get alone time at all.)

Bromache; yay! I hope you continue to feel better!

Today was a good day. I only felt mild nausea when I needed to eat and I have been productive! I sewed up a hole in a maternity jumper, did washing and even made dinner! It's been great, and I discovered that tinned sardines are the way forward for an afternoon snack. I did also get my first nose bleed in 8 years and it was pretty messy, but luckily only lasted 10 minutes.

Glad you are feeling better Bromache! And I'm happy you had a good day Nettle!

Dakipode sorry your dh has no interest! Is that just because you are pregnant?

Suzie the loss of libido happened at first with my dd but I got a little better. This time is way worse. I don't expect it to get any better this time for me
post #556 of 1719
I'm the opposite. I never lost my sex drive, I fact I think it's increased. My DB lost his though in the first few weeks, think he was just being cautious. Now we r back at it like bunnies😝

I puked this morning on my drive before going to work, first time in 2 weeks. I'm hoping its a one off😒

None here either! No desire at all. My poor husband. The times we have done it deep penetration hurts.

same with me. His attempts at foreplay and sex actually annoy me! Lol I hate that I feel that way. Hopefully it will pass soon and I can enjoy it.
Right there with you swissmiss! Every kind of smell besides my own perfume (weird because I hated perfume with dd!) is repulsive to me so DHs man smell is making me nuts.

My discharge is also out of control so I gotitchy when we DTD last time. Ugh! DH was weird about my preggo body last time but he seems just fine with it this time.

The boobs are huge. wink1.gif

I'm on the no libido boat as well. Hopefully that will change soon.
