Tuberculosis vaccines sickens 115 Romanian children; 50 hospitalized

The children had symptoms including swollen lymph nodes and abscesses, and 50 have been hospitalized since March. In a televised address on November 22,Romanian Health Minister Raed Arafat said that TB vaccinations would stop until the cause of the side effects is determined.

I had chronic swollen lymph nodes following the BCG vaccination for several years as a teen.

Seems good that they stop vaccinating to check serious side efffects. Another demonstration that vaccine safety check work?

More anecdote - I had BCG with no problems as a teenager. As did the majority of my class mates (the others had parents who declined the shot for them - as is their right).
