Nettlesoup, that is so odd. I have gone the other way; I'm completely off coffee and only want tea.
Maybe try a tea latte?

I didn't know there was such a thing!

nettle: is it hard to get gluten free products in Scotland?

My son & I are both celiac & i can find tons of GF bread & meat (sausage) in my current city...

I always thought Europe was so progressive when it came to GF products and availability?

We are actually really good for gluten free food here, but I hate the texture of gluten free bread, it's just weird!

nettlesoup, I've always been a big tea drinker but since this pg I just can't stomach the idea of it, something about it sounds too base (as in non-acidic). I had a "steamer" the other day, that's what some coffee shops call it: steamed milk with a shot of flavor. Mine was soymilk with caramel and it was perfect!

Having korean noodles for lunch now, was craving sodium I guess, though noodles have always been a favorite, I think it's in my genes.

Steamers sound great! I wish we had those. I also miss instant noodles, they were a staple during my last pregnancy.

I'm currently sitting here, eating a tin of condensed milk with a spoon. A new level of low?

Haha nettlesoup that's so funny! I hope it was good.

Cinnamon toast crunch for dinner. I don't even feel bad about it

Nettlesoup - I just made tres leche cake (my pardon to anyone Latin American, because I think my "recipe" is barely worthy of being called tres leche cake - just pound cake with coconut milk, evaporated milk, and condensed milk, served with strawberries) and I ate the remainder of the sweetened condensed milk with a spoon straight out of the can.  I thought to myself, "no one can EVER know!", but since you just shared.....it was too funny to not share with my fellow food confessors!  I also thought of you tonight when making my curry roast in the crock pot.  I didn't even bother with a bowl, just roasted my tongue eating it straight from the crock because I was SO HUNGRY!  Yum yum to cooked carrots and onions!

MamaMash - At least you picked the BEST breakfast cereal to have for dinner!  :)  My weakness lately has been Golden Grahams.  They were BOGO at Publix last week and I may have bought four boxes just for my private consumption.

Haha, Aidenn! I'm glad I'm not alone there!

nettlesoup - I've never been to Scotland, but in most North American coffee shops you can ask for a "London Fog" which is an earl grey tea latte with a shot of vanilla. I've also gotten them in the Netherlands and France, so maybe a coffee shop near you would be able to make one! They get me through many of my coffee cravings.

aidenn - I need your curry roast recipe, that sounds SO GOOD. DH and I both love curry and I'm always looking for new crock pot recipes for roasts!

My food confession - I ate an entire bag of Lay's Salt and Vinegar potato chips last night. The salty/acidic taste was just awesome.

Nettlesoup-you might appreciate this.  I've been craving Frye's Chocolate Creams!  My family has been sending them over to us in the States (I'm from Cumbernauld originally)

I haven't had one of those since I was in school! Maybe I should get some, they sound like a really good idea right now!

Peppermint stick ice cream for dinner.

Craving the most specific things today (that I haven't eaten in years); steak and mushrooms from Outback (?), and cereal with milk.

Really craving deep fried fish--lots of places around us do Friday night fish fry, with nice fresh whitefish from Lake Superior.

My kid was eating some "sea snacks" (squares of seasoned nori) in the car yesterday and I was telling a friend how much they made me want to gobble sushi.
She made me nori rolls for lunch today with avocado, carrot and cuke and they were sooooo good! We live very far away from real sushi so it was a treat. I miss sushi. Lots.

Haurelia- I wish I could eat steak! It's always been a favorite of mine and with my dd's pregnancy I couldn't get enough. This time I cannot stomach it. It tastes like what raw ground beef smells like to me :/ how horrible is that?! Ugh.

I could really do with some coco pops right now. I've found that I have to eat cereal as soon as I get up, otherwise I will feel really ill.

Today at the grocery store: hot chocolate mix, plums, peach yogurt, salt and vinegar chips, root beer, cocoa/rice cereal, and honey nut O's. I haven't eaten cereal in ages.

Kimchi and pesto are my biggest cravings right now (though not together thank heavens). I bought a tub of kimchi at the Korean supermarket today and ate several forkfuls right out of it as soon as I got home. Soooo soo good.
