cmu204 - That bump is just perfect!

to everyone else's bellies I have been watching but not responding to - You guys look amazing!  If you have some time to waste, spend a bit going through the first 10 pages or so of this thread.  The evolution of everyone's bellies, and indeed, their bodies, is pretty cool.

lilmamita - I now join thefreckledmama and desire a giant piece of wedding cake.  I don't mind confessing I have made TWO 9x13 pans of rice crispy squares this week and have eaten probably a third of both pans by myself.

Here's me at 37 weeks with a different cat.  I don't mean to be a Debbie Downer, but I did want to let you guys know that "sink cat" (Hyacinth) is passing away this week of kidney and liver failure - we don't expect her to live through the coming weekend.  We aren't having her put down (she's in no pain) because taking her to the vet has always been a highly traumatic experience for her.  On a more positive sentiment, I have had her since I was 14 (egads!  She's old!) and she's my last "childhood pet" to pass, so while I have been having a selfishly hard time with it, I am grateful that she was trucking with me through three cross country moves, three pregnancies, and two marriages.

And NOW I want Rice Krispie treats.

I find it interesting that your hair has gotten shorter, as your belly has gotten bigger. Quite the paradox. I like this cut the best. smile.gif

I'm sorry about Hyacinth. greensad.gif I've never had a pet live that long...but I can imagine how much she must mean to you.

aidenn, So sorry to hear about Hyacinth.  :-(  My sympathies to you.

And I agree, your hair looks fabulous!!

Everyone looks amazing!! cmu, I love that dress!  It hugs your belly just right.

I'm seriously considering requesting a post-partum cake from the woman who hosted my baby shower.  This one was chocolate cake with mocha buttercream AND chocolate ganache.  To-die-for.

Katalopolis, I was thinking you looked fierce, not stunned!

Lilmamita, I want cake now, too. It sounds delicious! On that note, during my last labor, I was cooking to kill time. This time, I'm hoping to spend it making a Birth Day cake for the baby. orngbiggrin.gif I think my kids would get a kick out of it, and, well... CAKE! Yum.

Aidenn, so sorry to hear about your cat. greensad.gif Sounds like she had a good long life, but it's never easy to lose them.

Sorry about Hyacinth, Aidenn. Sounds like you've had a lot of time to make happy memories with her. I hope they are comforting for you.

Aidenn!!! Oh I'm going to sob! I just lost my sweet tuxedo cat (Felix) last May and have had a lot of trouble getting over it. My DH and I adopted him back in '94 so yeah-- lots of memories. We had to take him to the vet because he was in bad shape. It was right after we moved and was just to much for him. Just wanted to come on and say I'm sorry for your loss and I was just there. greensad.gif

One day I'll get a pic up omg. My shower photos were horrid (why my sis picked a DARK Italian restaurant I'll never know! I'd have been happy with anywhere!) so I don't have any photos of my pregnant self except for the shots I take myself. Which is few and far between. I'm not a good photo recipient. Lol.

I GOTTA go through the first couple pages-- I bet they are telling for sure! I stopped weighing myself two weeks back and am off to eat a bowl of coco crispies. I might need to make some treats this weekend. Mmmmm.

Aidenn- sorry about 'sink cat', but at least u got lots of pics of her lol
post #717 of 807

aidenn, sorry to hear about your cat, losing a pet is hard. We euthanized ours last November and I realized I had her longer than I've "had" DH, weird.

Pics:

This morning in my underwear 36w6d, just rounder

And the obligatory baby shower pic:

Oh, and mini rant: I have all of 5 pictures from my shower and not even good ones because the lady who dropped the ball in general didn't think to take pics until the end, so no pics of the food or people standing around having a good time... sigh, I know, I just need to let it go and get over it.

Dakipode u have such a perfect round bump 😃

Thanks to everyone with wishes about Hyacinth (sink cat).  She passed peacefully at home around midday today.  I've been a blubbering mess, but in my heart of hearts, I am glad she is no longer in discomfort.

dakipode - I've been debating on taking an undie shot.  Yours is bangin' - you really are like someone just plopped a belly onto your figure!  I think it's helpful for women as a collective to take undie shots in pregnancy to show what normal is.  It reminds me of that Dove Beauty campaign.  I know it was marketing, but I really liked it.  So, thanks for being brave!

tillymonster - I commiserate with the cereal.  I just ate a big bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch.  It was damn amazing.

thefreckledmama - I highly endorse making rice crispy treats while pregnant.  SO EASY.  Butter, marshmallows, rice crispies.  Heat it up, mix it up, dump it in a pan, let it cool (or not, whatever!) and then gorge.  Plus it's gluten free, so there's that.  Hah hah.
