Serious "birthing weather"... stay put, baby!

This didn't really fit into any ongoing threads, it's pretty random.

It's totally stormy here tonight... very windy, lots of rain and possibly a thunderstorm on the way.  Always makes me think of birthing weather when it's like this, but I know this baby isn't quite ready yet!

Not having any signs that labor is on the way or anything like that, just the weather making me think of labor and birth and all things wild and beautiful.  Maybe once labor does start (weeks from now!) I'll be inspired to pretend the power is out and use a bunch of candles instead.  :)

I was born in a storm :) I didn't know it was birthing weather.

my water broke with DD1 during a horrible thunderstorm and tornado warning (tornadoes ended up going about 10 miles south of us) pretty exciting stuff ;)   thunderstorms always make me have contractions late in pregnancy .. Kind of nice to be this pregnant in January, don't have to worry about storms as much here this time of year!

Both of my kids were born in summer thunderstorms! I guess this one might be born in a snowstorm?

storms always start some false labor patterns for me. as does the full moon!  a storm on a full moon (just happened after Christmas) is always a little scary.  i might get some candles up on the mantle cause that does sound nice and relaxing and also distracting.  i love candles.  and i'm really hoping NOT to get a storm and a full-moon at the same time as my midwife is pretty far away...

also a little worried b/c hubby is going on a day trip to NYC on Jan 30th, and while it's before my 'due date' traffic in NYC and a midwife 2+ hours away makes me hope there is no weather!!!  full-moon is the 27th....
