slow rising hcg 6wks today since lmp ??ectopic?

I am 6 weeks today if you use my lmp as the guideline. my 1st hcg level was 95 on 12/28 then 341 on 1/2 and 517 on 1/4 which the doc said was a little low as well as a progesterone level of 16.7 also on 1/4/13(which the doc said it should be at 25 but couldn't find supporting evidence on the internet showing this higher #?) worried since the ultrasounds have been inconclusive so far in actually identifying the embryo sac/yolk sac yet in my uterus that i could possibly having an ectopic pregnancy?? My cycles are irregular and range from 30-40 days usually in the middle of there, i have endometriosis, have a history of an ep at 7 wks and lost my right tube with it, no bleeding, extreme cramping, or pain. doctor started me on prometrium just in case. and i have one child from a pregnancy after the first ectopic! Anyone have similar #'s or story with successful pregnancy or ectopic pregnancy?? Due for another hcg level in the morning and ultrasound tuesday!?...fingers crossed!!

Hi, I have also had a previous ectopic with no pain, discovered at 6 weeks by ultrasound (requested by me due to previous early loss), so I totally get where you are coming from. Given that your periods are irregular, it might still be okay that nothing has been seen on ultrasound yet. As you probably know, they don't expect to be able to see anything until hcg of about 1500. Given your slow rise, I think you really do need to be vigilant. Perhaps they could do weekly ultrasounds to see whether anything shows up anywhere other than the uterus? I have to say that my current RE told me it took some 10 years (and maybe 40000 pregnancies I think he said) before he could find a case of slow rising hcg that then ended up okay. On the other hand, there are plenty of cases you can read about online where it turns out okay. Hugs and strngth to you, keep your hope and try to be as calm as you can, but just vigilant.
