And when you do make sure you post an intro with you mothering user name. The Facebook site is great-the only tough part is keeping track of whose who after so long of thinking about people by their mothering name

I haven't been as active on this site lately, but I've been pretty active over on FB. Facebook seems like an easier platform and I've found that questions or concerns get responses way faster. I also wish there was a way to have a list or post-it of our names to keep everyone straight.

Yep!  Sometimes it takes a day or so for the admin to get around to it.

Ok, think i did it, too. Facebook isn't really my thing, I'm not active at all, but I'll give it a try! Since I'm going back to work next week suddenly we're having some issues maybe others can help with...getting him to accept a bottle...fears that he won't nap and will just scream all day...

Is that why it's so dead here? Bummer. I'm definitely not comfortable linking my personal information to my MDC sn, though, so I guess I will have to continue missing out.

Monkeyscience - you could make up another fb account and just make up a name (or use monkey science :) ). you don't have to show your personal info on display. Would that work for you?

It's something to consider, but I don't know how often I would log out of my regular Facebook account to check the other one. I'm lazy like that!

I have a facebook page for my business, and facebook makes it pretty convenient to toggle between the two - they call it using different "voices". I'm not sure if it would keep your personal info completely private or not, but it's something you could try to see if it works.

I'm the "voice" of my academic department and I am definitely NOT cool with students, etc. seeing my normal Facebook page.  It's super easy like CCoello said to toggle between the two and the two pages have no connection with each other otherwise.  At the top of the screen it will say "You are commenting/posting as.... BLANK" so you know which voice you're using.  Hope you can join us!

Also, the group is closed, so none of your FB friends can see anything you post in it.
