Trying to Conceive though have an irregular menstrual cycle and do not ovulate so often - Page 2

I know quite a few people here who take the progesterone after implantation should have occurred to ensure that the little one sticks. Of course ask your doctor first! Maybe the brown blood was implantation bleeding and you ovulated early? Are you using ovulation test strips also? I know a lot of ladies use them in combo with BBT!

Also I've got PCOS and just conceived through use of vitex so all hope isn't lost! We tried for a year, then used vitex for 3 months and got pregnant! I'm 10+3 weeks along today, so keep trying!

I am so happy to hear about your pregnancy. Congrats. I hope mine comes soon

Now i feel bad to have dumped vitex after using it for just a month (maybe I should have tried for a longer period :-) ) But I wanted something really fast that was why I decided to see a gyn and also try Iso but things have not happened that fast.

My dr does not seem to be convinced about Iso actually inducing ovulation. She thinks it is the Iso that is causing all these.Well, I would go in for a check tomorrow anyway. I guess she believes so much in Clomid.

I wish things could  happen faster but apparently, patience is one virtue I would have to cultivate in this area.

I had suggested taking progesterone to her but she doesnt want me to. Here, it is a prescription drug and if she does not prescribe it, I cannot get it on my own so... I am at her mercy now :-)

Thanks for your response.

Congrats once again and I pray mine comes soonest too.

If you're willing to give it some months, vitex is definitely something that works for lots of people. It may not work for others, of course but from what I saw on many vitex success stories, the majority had success with it. I've read mixed reveiws on soy, so I wasn't willing to try it. Good luck, I hope you and your doctor figure out something to work things out!

Thanks. Dr does not think Iso induced ovulation in this period so I guess I am officially dumping that. Since I intend taking clomid, I guess I cannot now take Vitex again. I have to be patient and hope clomid helps.

Thanks for the support and how are you doing and the baby?

Good luck with clomid! I've been really super sick, but I'm nearing 12 weeks so I hope it fades off here soon!

Thanks.

Just curious: what was the dosage of the vitex you took. The one I bought has just 4mg chasteberry fruit and I read that one needs between 500-1000mg for it to work so I am wondering if this one would have worked.

Yeah mine was 400 mg per tablet and I took two a day- so that's definitely very low. I know the tincture is stronger- you can get it almost anywhere too! I got mine on amazon smile.gif
