I'm willing. I live in Indiana so kind of centralish. Also I like our small town post office. And can make it into a homeschool lesson for DS.

Thank you Farmermomma for volunteering to be our organizer! It sounds like a good schooling opportunity too - counting, colors, etc.

I'll turn things over to you at this point and note that you can turn to the April thread to see how they handled the shipping logistics.

Okay here's what April club said, thanks April

"When you sign up, please PM me your address. When I receive your PM, I will PM you my address.

When I get the final count of who all is participating, I will try and PM everyone and let you know the number of people participating (It will definitely be in a thread, in the case I don't get PMs sent out.)

Each person picks out a bead/beads that they like, one (or one set) for each participant, and send them to me. If you want, you can enclose personal note of encouragement, a quote that inspires you, or something similar.

I will go through, and separate beads, one package for each mama, with one bead (or one set of beads, if you pick more than one per participant) from everyone else.

When you receive your birth beads, you can string them onto a necklace, a bracelet, or any way that you would like.

These serve as reminder of other mamas due around the same time as you, your DDC support group, and that we're all experiencing similar, and thinking about you, while you labor. smile.gif"

I guess what you pay in shipping you should add inside for shipping back. Any other ideas on how to run this?
Should we sign up here or do you want to start a new thread for signups? Thanks again for volunteering!
Do you have a paypal we could send the shipping money too? Would that make it easier than cashing a bunch of checks?
Oo good plan .. PayPal would be handy for me due to not being in us!
I don't have a pay pal. I'll have to look into that. Self addressed stamped envelope would be great. Will double check for enough postage to return but should be close enough to the same as what ya sent. Not sure how that would work internationally though. Will take good will bartering gift ;-).
So we have Kimble 1, lisathena 2, me 3, Quinalla 4, scary biscuits 5, Timesway 6, jaque7, E P P 8, mama4 9, lisedea 10, othermother 11, moriah m s 12, cady 13, Trisha 14.

I'll just PM my address to anyone who has posted on here so far. So that's 14 beads mommas. Ready or not here we come.
Ok. I sent the PMs out with address. If I missed anyone or if anyone has questions let me know. So excited to bead with you mommas.

we can't use a standard envelope for these right? It's gotta be something with the bubble wrap inside probably?

Okay, 13 beads! Got it! Give us a deadline- I work better if I have a deadline, I'm a procrastinator  ;)

Now I've gotta find awesome beads!

There's 14 of us. I know it may be silly to send one and have me send it back, but it would be easier if I could make all of the sets the same. I too am a procrastinator. I have not yet made a deadline. Will post when first ones come in though.

Probably mail in bubble or cardboard envelope. I would hate for the beads to pop through a regular envelope.

I'm thinking of using slide sheets for sending them back. If there's a note it can stay together with the bead in its little cubby. Sound good?

the slide sheets sound like an awesome way to keep things together. Does it change the size of envelope we should use for return shipping?

If you need larger envelopes (like 6x9 bubble padded or something) for returning beads in a holder than it takes for us to ship them to you in one batch, would you be willing to get a pack to use and have us each toss in an extra $1 in addition to shipping? you can get 25 for $12 from staples which would be enough to cover our group.

Hey Ladies! Sorry to say, but I am out of the bead swap!! My sweet hubby is not comfortable with someone I know only over the Internet, having our address... I didn't even think of it as a problem. Guess it makes sense. We watch a lot of those Internet perp shows. Lol.. Too many maybe! I hope this doesn't offend anyone! But I thought I should let you all know that the number isn't 14 anymore!

I've got enough envelopes and slide sheets sitting around. It's no problem. No need to add more.
