Would appreciate advice!  I am traveling on Friday from China where we live to the US...15 hour time change with my 4 month old!  What are tips for getting baby to flip sleeping times?  THANK YOU!!!

Time changes can be so hard with little ones!

My advice is to try to get into the new time zone as quick as possible.  If you get in in the morning an are exhausted, allow yourself a nap, but not too long, and try to go to bed at the same time.  With the baby, allow naps, but try your best to keep the LO in a sunny location (if possible) or brightly lit room.  At bedtime keep it dark all night, even when up to meet needs like diaper changes or feeding (just keep the light as low as you can to do that and then turn it off when done even if baby is awake.   You may need to do this for a bit to get both of you back on US time, but it does work if you're strict with it.  The light/dark is what is most helpful, IMO.

Thank you! I have traveled back many times but the first since my DD was born. I will keep it dark! Usually we get there in the late morning and it makes it easier to stay awake all day, but this flight has us getting in at night after leaving CH at night and sleeping the whole flight over...thank you again!
