So what's the deal with belly bands?

I have heard really good things about them but I'm not sure if I want one or not-I hear they are great for losing a few inches, helping with diastasis (I have a minor one) and back pain (of which I have some). Any input? I need to go as cheaply as possible.

Thanks

I loved my cheapo medela one last time and this round I got the more expensive upsie belly.  I am not sure if it was that or just how it was but I didn't have to wait all that long for my tummy to pull back up and I noticed no after pains.

I got the Tauts one and I like it. It feels good, has helped with the after pains, and I think it has helped tighten things up already (day 4). Worth it for sure.

I have the bellefit and am loving it. At night I use a belly wrap from Guatemala that I also love. For night time you can use a sari or other long fabric and tie yourself as tightly as possible. Such great relief!

If money is an issue just wrapping yourself with a scarf works and I don't know if its true or not but my midwife says its better than the belts are for your abs.
