Prenatal Vitamins

I've been having a really rough time with my prenatal so decided to try something different and wanted to share bc it's been an amazing change! I started taking New Chapter prenatal a and they're not making me sick at all! I've still not taken them without food, mostly bc I eat constantly to avoid nausea. These are to be taken 3X a day rather than once so remembering may become an issue but so far so good. Remembering three a day is better than feel extra queasy every time I took the other prenatals. Hope this can help someone else!
What vitamins do you take? Extra Omega3 DHA? Curious?

I'm taking Country Life's Maxi Pre-Natal and I love it! I also have to take it 3 times a day, but they also have herbs in them, and don't make me sick

I'm just taking the Rainbow Light one a day, but the iron is exacerbating my constipation, I fear.  I may have to change it up once this bottle is gone.  I had this problem last time too, and I just powered through it, but I have less patience for it this time...

I am taking the Trader Joe's one/day which I believe are Rainbow Light.  I haven't had any issues from them yet.

I also take extra vitamin D (because I had tested low for it last year), DHA, and probiotics.

I swear by Rainbow Light Prenatal Ones but I have not been able to find them here in the Memphis area. I tried New Chapter which was OK but I hate having to take 3 pills instead of just one. I tend to pop all 3 at once. I tried another RawOne Prenatal but it is also 3 and they are huge and pricey so I might just order Rainbow Light online if I have too. I also take a DHA supplement (with fish oil which also seems to help regulate the mood swings).

I take Sisu Multiexpecting. And Nordic Naturals prenatal DHA. And extra vitamin D and E.

I take New Chapter and have for each pregnancy. My ND told me to stay away from one a day prenatals. You're cells can only assimilate a certain amount of vitamin at a time, so one a days give you a very small amount of what is on the label. You pee out the rest. I know vitamin c has a cell saturation of 250mg. Anything over that in one dose is just expensive pee. Especially when you are growing a new baby, you need to have several smaller doses to really use it.

I looked at New Chapter but they have soy, as do many of the "whole food" prenatals, and I am highly allergic.

Last time I didn't actually take prenatals, just DHA and I was super careful with my diet.  I figured this time as I am pregnant and nursing, and am probably depleted from nursing this whole time, that I should take prenatals.  I still try to make sure I cover the important nutrients with my diet as well.

I take rainbow light. Ordering them online is the easiest for me and they tend to ship really fast.

I take Garden of Life, Raw prenatals.  3 a day.  I have severe nausea and I can still manage to take them.

New Chapter has fermented soy, like Miso, which very few people are allergic to. Only raw soy has the allergen. But if not New Chapter look at Megafood baby and me. Also great.

Thanks, I'll check out Megafood.

Well, fermented soy, soy lecithin, and soybean oil are not "supposed" to be allergenic.  But just to give you an idea how sensitive I am, if I wash a cup that had an herbal tea bag with a little bit of soy lecithin in it, I have a reaction that lasts several days.  This is not drinking the tea, just handling the cup, and washing my hands immediately afterwards.  Same with fermented products and soybean oil.  Cannot even come close to them.

I am having a very difficult time keeping foods and liquids down, much less pills. On top of prenatals, I was also looking into taking SerraTrol (Serrapeptidase) but have not found any info about whether it's safe to take while pregnant or not. I was taking it previously but given the problems I'm having want to be super careful. Does anyone know if this is okay to take?

Do vitamins go bad? I have a bottle of New Chapter ones from 2 years ago. Still good?

There should be an expiry date on the bottle somewhere hippie. They can "go bad".
