Who else will have 2 under 2?

Son will be around 18/19 months give or take when this baby is born...he's almost 11 months now and I am finding pregnancy very challenging already as his mobility has just taken off.

How are you finding it? Fears/concerns?

I waited almost 9 years to have my son after my daughter and he is only 8 months

I'm still in shock.

I've been living 2000 miles away from my family for 12 years now. I've been happy here and a few days before the new year I started hearing the call to go home. It's been so strange how serendipitous life can be. To put it better than my brain can...

"In every moment, in every event of your life, the Beloved is whispering to you exactly what you need to hear and know. Who can ever explain this miracle? It simply is. Listen and you will discover it every passing moment. Listen, and your whole life will become a conversation in thought and act between you and Him, directly, wordlessly, now and always."

~ Rumi

To answer your questions about fears/concerns...

I know it's going to be very challenging, but this is what I signed up for. It took me YEARS to stop myself from getting overstressed abt life. It was my husband that really helped me with this. He is my Stephen Gaskin. I'm in no way saying that I don't stress, but when I can catch myself in the middle of it and stand back-those are moments I'm learning to live for (along with the super ultra happy ones.)

Yep! January 24th. I'm a January Aquarian too. Funny thing...being pregnant for 2 birthdays in a row, ha. I'm feeling pretty good overall about giving my sweet boy a sibling so soon. I love Rumi, thanks for the quote. I live 3000+ miles from my family too as I'm in Hawaii and it's just my husband and I making it work here. So I'm a bit concerned about how I'll manage as my husband is often away from home going to school an hour or so away. But I love motherhood so I trust I'll make it work somehow. I do love a challenge!

Is your son nursing by chance? My boy still is heavily reliant on the boob and I'm already wondering if I need to wean him a little. My nipples are very sore. I want to introduce some other types of milk to see how he does. He still wakes up every 2 hours at night so we might see if we can wean him at night. Also I am already noticing my milk supply fluctuating due to the pregnancy. I hope I don't dry out completely as I wanted to nurse into toddlerhood.

My son will be just over 22 months when this kiddo arrives. I'm freaking out

My DD will be six when this baby is born but my DS and the new baby will only be 18/19 months apart.  I'm feeling very overwhelmed.  Especially because at ten months, my DS is still mostly nursing exclusively and I already feel torn about honoring his needs and yet creating a boundary for the future.  I'm also a little interested to see how the bedsharing will play out.

Gemini, I am going to try bedsharing with both my older son and the new baby.  I suppose the order will go something like: daddy, toddler, me, and then new baby.

This is the way we did it after my 2nd was born!  It worked perfectly.

Wow, Hawaii! what a dream!

Yes, my son is still nursing. And we're having some issues with biting lately, with the sore nipples, its been awful. My husband suggested we give him a bottle. HA! yea right! Almost bi*ch slapped him. We will deal. I went back to work two weeks after he was born and he comes with me. the first week of the year my husband started taking him midday. So up until then he was nursing every two hours during the day and we sleep together so its about every 2-4 at night.

Which is why I didn't think I would be here. I kinda thought breastfeeding THAT much would prevent pregnancy.

After my daughter was born I tried so hard to get pregnant right away. I tore with him, and it's been a LONG recovery so this kiddo was concieved on our first real lovemaking.

I am so excited to see how this will pan out with nursing throughout pregnancy and the tandem.

Also my belly at times seems to be expanding already. it feels like i'm pushing it out, but it's doing it on its own.

oh and as far as bedsharing. my husband is an insomniac and has very bad back problems so it's sad, but I have my own bed with the kiddos.
